As Queensland Women’s Week (8–14 March) comes to a close, it’s been so lovely to see so many amazing women in our community recognised. ❤

A big shoutout to Rhonda Neale and Sharyn Tidswell, included among Redcliffe’s remarkable women nominees - their tireless work makes a real difference for Redcliffe Hospital every single day.

They truly embody this year’s theme Shaping Tomorrow Together, helping raise care, raise research and raise wellbeing for our community. 👏🥰

💤 World Sleep Day: Sleep Well, Live Better 💤

Hospital visits can be scary for children - and exhausting for the parents who stay by their side. Thanks to one incredibly generous Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital supporter, parents in Redcliffe Hospital’s Children’s Ward now have a comfy spot to catch some much-needed sleep. 😴

Two specially designed recliners – chairs by day, full-length beds by night – are helping mums and dads recharge so they can be there for cuddles, comfort and support when their little ones need it most.

By helping parents rest, we’re helping raise care, raise wellbeing, and making hospital stays a little easier for everyone. ❤️

"Connected communities are strong communities" was the message from Paul, President of Rotary Club of Redcliffe Sunrise, as he introduced Dr Joel Dulhunty, Redcliffe Hospital's Research Director recently. Dr Joel shared that "co-design" was critical for patient-centred research.

"If we're going to answer questions and make a difference, we've got to have the right people around the table from the beginning," Dr Joel said.

"So when we're designing our research, we need to involve patients, family and community in what's important in the design of that study.

"I'm really proud of Redcliffe Hospital - the care that's provided every day, continuous 24/7 clinical care for patients."

Training up the next generation of health professionals - and equipping them to do research that raises care for better health and wellbeing for locals - that's something we can all be proud of!

Today we celebrate the remarkable women across our Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital community. 🏥❤️ From doctors, nurses and allied health teams to support staff, volunteers and generous supporters - women play an extraordinary role in caring for our community, close to home.

This year’s theme, Give to Gain, reminds us that when we lift each other up, we strengthen the care and wellbeing of everyone around us. 🫶

The 5th annual Crew Legal Spring Gala Ball will be taking place Friday 11 September.

We are proudly partnering with Bridge FM, Andrew Reibelt (Image Realty) and Social Ocean to host a gala evening in order to raise funds for Redcliffe Hospital.

All money raised for “Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital” (an initiative of RBWH Foundation) will continue to benefit patients and families in the Redcliffe Hospital.

Tickets include canapes, 2 course meal, 4 hour drink package and live entertainment. We will let you know once tickets are live!

Prepare your gowns and dust off your dancing shoes - we are aiming for our 2026 Gala Ball to be another huge success.

Redcliffe Hospital is now making it even easier for patients to stay connected, with flexible visiting hours and free Wi-Fi for virtual visits. 🤗

“Visitors bring comfort and reassurance and keep the patient connected to their lives outside the hospital,” said Lou Joce, Nursing Unit Manager, Ward 6 East.

Visitors really are the best medicine ❤️ A great initiative helping raise wellbeing for Redcliffe Hospital, close to home.

Redcliffe Hospital has made it as easy as possible for patients to have visitors with flexible visiting hours and free Wi-Fi for virtual visits with loved ones.
