🫶"Our honest heartfelt thank you!"🫶

Impact Partner Sesame Lane made a special delivery to kick off the year with kindness - to help some of Redcliffe Hospital's elderly and most vulnerable patients. All items were donated by the families that attend the Sesame Lane Redcliffe centre and the educators that work there.

Nurse Unit Manager Sarah in the hospital's 4 East ward says:

"I cannot express how grateful we are for the amazing gift of toiletries your team and families have donated for our patients.

"It will be amazing to be able to wash their hair with something other than our clinical soaps and for them to be able to use the beautiful smelling shower gels. The deodorants are amazing, they will all be smelling beautiful, and the three bags are just so awesome.

"It’s little things like this that make a huge difference to help support our patients to feel less like they are in hospital."

🕊️ Peace at Christmas... Thanks, Kenny, for keeping things calm at Redcliffe Hospital over this season 🫶

Acting Security Supervisor Kenny is excited for Christmas to soon be upon us, and for the first Redcliffe Hospital Healthcare Ambassador role for the medical service line to roll out in the New Year. 🥳

The ambassador program is a non-traditional security role that is designed to engage with patients at the earliest opportunity, to assist patients with their concerns and help them enjoy their stay at the hospital.

“The ambassador role is often important in identifying the early signs of aggression and agitation in patients who may be affected by medication or medical conditions,” Kenny shares.

“Intervention with a security member without the security uniform on can assist and deescalate situations, producing better patient and staff outcomes.”

Kenny encourages everyone to stay safe this Christmas, and we think that’s a gift we can all appreciate.

Community spirit at its best... our local hospital that keeps on helping... 🥰

The Facility Services team and REDDY Fun and Fitness at Redcliffe are the stars on top of the Christmas tree this year, as their coordination of the Redcliffe Hospitals donation drive has reached more than 50 local families this festive season. 🎄🌟

Facility Services Coordinators Stacey and Mel have been extra good this year, gathering donations from the very generous Redcliffe staff and filling stockings for the families.

"We will be continuing to support the Redcliffe St Vincent De Paul Christmas appeal to help our community," shares Stacey.

"St Vincent De Paul has provided a list of families who require support and we are providing these families with food hampers and age-appropriate gifts."

👏 A very worthy Shoutout Saturday to the Facility team and our whole Redcliffe Hospital team for their generosity this December.

Thank you Crew Legal, Spring Gala Ball guests, family & friends who gave in memory of midwife Jenny Stapleton nee Ryan, and other Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital friends. You have raised over $52,000 to bring the high-tech "Babyroo" to Redcliffe Hospital's Maternity Birth Suite - to give babies the best start to life, close to home!🎉

Medical Director for the Critical Care, Women's and Children's Service Line, Kim says...

"The BabyRoo Resus Incubator will be used to keep Redcliffe Hospital's tiniest and most vulnerable newborn babies warm and safe while our paediatric doctors and midwives do their life-saving work on them.

"Our midwives and doctors are so grateful to have support from our community here."
