It is such a beautiful idea - that within each one of us there is a place that is always calm, that is always at peace.

As the outer world gets more chaotic, and maybe even overwhelming for some, it can bring such strength to know that this inner place of peace and calm exists, and to know how to get there.

The ‘koshas’ are a concept in yoga philosophy that maps the layers of the Self and creates a beautiful framework for navigating towards inner peace. The ‘anandamaya kosha’, or the bliss layer, sits right at the heart of our being, and is where feelings of calm, peace, joy and compassion are always present.

Join me Sunday 24th May at YogaLYFE studio in Middle Park to explore the koshas, to find the pathway to inner peace, and to spend a nourishing afternoon reconnecting with your deepest Self.

A spacious and relaxing afternoon of yoga philosophy, breath, and sound to find peace and clarity within.

You will be gently guided through an exploration of the Self, using the yogic concept of the koshas, and then deepen into it with a gentle conscious connected breath journey and sound bath of Himalayan singing bowls and drum.

This session is being held at the beautiful YogaLyfe Studio in Middle Park. A light and airy space filled with plants and so much good energy - its the perfect Melbourne backdrop for this journey.

Come along for this soulful afternoon that will leave you feeling grounded, with an inner sense of spaciousness, connectedness and peace.

✨the power of humming ✨

I find myself humming often - partly because I love music - but I realised when I started studying the breath - that it is also my way of managing my nervous system.

Humming is a long slow exhale - combined with sound vibrations travelling through your body.

Both of these are scientifically proven ways of claiming your nervous system and switch on the ‘rest and digest’ mode.

For those who naturally hum, it’s a beautiful reminder that sometimes our body knows what’s good for us without even understanding why.

I am so delighted to be bringing this into the world. It has been sitting with me for the last few months and I finally have the space to make it real.

This is more than a breathwork session; it is a sacred container to pause, reset, and remember the peace and clarity that already resides within you.

I am delighted to be offering Mindful Mondays - a 60 minute online session held every two weeks - a gentle yet powerful blend of guided meditation, conscious breathing, thoughtful reflection.

It’s a space to quieten the thinking mind, to just be, and to bask in some ancient wisdom and practice to help create a sense of spaciousness and inner peace. It's a space to align with the cycles of nature, to allow your body to breathe, and to tune into the voice of your intuition.

This is an online offering - to allow for everyone easy access. Make a cosy space at home, or head to a friends place and do it together (only 1 booking needed)... either way, its a beautiful way to start the week with intention, presence and calm.

It is offered on a pay as you choose basis - so feel free to pay what you can and what feels comfortable for you.

in my journaling post meditation today I had such a clear remembering ….

I remembered that it is all too easy to focus on what you wish you were more of,
or where you are not doing enough …

I remembered to watch how much time my thinking mind is spending on what i wish I’d done better, what I think my biggest weaknesses are and how to overcome them, or where I think I messed up …

and I remembered it is doing this under the guise of trying to help me get better.

but it doesn’t help us get better - instead it gets us stuck in the past, gets us stuck in the ‘not being enough’ mindset, and limits our expression of our own full potential.

being aware of weaknesses is important, but so is being aware of strengths.

focus instead on what you are doing well,
what you have achieved, what you enjoy doing.

deliberately turn your mind to giving yourself positive reinforcement - not that you can ‘do better’, or you can ‘be better’ - but that you already are magnificent, that you already are wonderful, that you’re already doing some things really really well - maybe even better than anyone else could do them.

remind yourself of this every morning, and then continue to be magnificent and wonderful and capable all through the day ♥️✨

This is the first food I’ve eaten in 5 days ✨🤯
After another water fast mission - that’s right - nothing but water for F I V E D A Y S - I am reminded so deeply of how amazing the body is.

Most people are horrified at the thought of not eating even for 1 or 2 days, but we are designed to go without food. There are many cleaning systems in the body that are activated when we stop eating - like autophagy , where our body literally goes around fixing or destroying damaged cells or cells that are working less than optimally.

This only happens if you stop eating, and give the body a rest from digesting so it can focus on other important matters.

5 days might not be for everyone, but even 1 or 2 days is hugely beneficial.

Another beautiful effect of fasting is that you come to see food as precious and even more delicious than before. You come to a different understanding of what ‘enough’ really is.

And you come so much closer to knowing what your body is capable of.

Such an amazing thing to do!! Highly recommend 🙌🙌
