2026 is going to be a big one for me.
It is my final year of my Masters so I can FINALLY get my Nurse Practitioner endorsement.
This means I am required to complete mandatory placement hours from March through until November, which means temporary changes to LGMH hours.
I am confident that there will be little disruption to my lovely clients and my capacity to take new referrals, and I will do my absolute best to keep the impact of my absence to a minimum.
Of course, there will be some things outside of my control, however I know that it will all be worth it once I’m done!
If you don’t already know, once endorsed as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I will be able to provide a whole other advanced level of care to my clients and community, and that is what it has always been about.
Aside from continuing my role as a therapist, I will also have the authority to:
🙌 Provide Medicare rebates for EVERY session - and you won’t need a referral! This is HUGE and the key reason I set out to become a NP - to provide financial relief and therefore increase access in the community to specialised mental health care 🫶
🙌 Prescribe medications (within my scope of course!)
🙌 Diagnose most mental health conditions
🙌 Make appropriate referrals to other providers
🙌 Request and interpret appropriate investigations (eg. blood tests)
In advance, I thank you for your support, patience and understanding while I take on this beast! And if you’re one of my clients - please remember to have a chat with me about booking ahead 🤓
Check out my adjusted available times and stay tuned for any future updates if changes need to be made.
I’m already excited about what will be on offer in 2027 🥳
