When your faith is strong you can always say He is Good! This is not always easy but so necessary… this morning I am being reminded of the Goodness of God. He will not leave us as orphans rather he adopts us and raises us as sons and daughters. Challenges and victories and lots of in between make up this life and He reminds us that He is there through it all. The good, the bad and the in between.

Proverbs 31:25 describes a woman who is "clothed with strength and dignity" and "can laugh at the days to come." She is strong and resilient with a courageous and positive outlook towards the future. She values and respects herself and others do the same. She stands out in the crowd especially in the current culture but that is how God designed us. Stand up and stand up. Face the future with courage, strength and dignity and teach your daughters to do the same! .dignity.courage

Just reflecting on the difficulties is homeschooling and felt to encourage others in the same boat that the road is hard when you choose the narrow path. It might be that you are the only one you know or you might be part of a big community but sometimes that doesn’t take away the feeling of loss. Loss of your career, your time, finances and the cost of having to live differently to be able to be home. It is worth it though when you see your children living free, making choices and being creative and thriving in the spaces you create for them. Push through the days when school seems like an easier option and remember why you started!

Reading Zechariah this morning and I felt that this verse really stood out to me and reminded me that the small steps we take are still of great value to God. Our family has great big dreams and a vision that is way beyond us right now but we are taking small steps in the right direction and the Lord is pleased with the baby steps of progress. In a world where things are expected to happen instantly we have to be ok in the waiting and in the beginnings as the work begins! Sometimes I forget that God is outside time and not at all stressed about what is going on and when we wait and do the little things He can bring His plans and purposes to us rather than us striving to make it happen ourselves.

For so long I have just heard the words family and revival together. We are looking for a glorious move of God and it will come but the precursor to this is a revolution in family relationships, in how we set up churches and in how we choose to raise our children. The enemy is working to destroy the family unit and to build systems that keep Christian’s safe so they never experience the fullness of God. Each church has their own idols, their own systems of control and self imposed limitations… what does it look like to tear down the strongholds in the church and see what Jesus does as we return ownership back to the one who paid for our freedom!

My revelation on the dishes. Whilst cleaning them the other day it seemed like they never ended just like the onslaught of pressure that can often be felt. God reminded me that I just need to focus on today’s dishes today, tomorrow will look after itself and I can face it when I get to it. BUT if I put off today’s dishes and don’t deal with them I am left cleaning them up tomorrow. As we go through life there will be pressure and there will be challenge. God gives us daily what we need. Reminds me of the Israelites and the manna God provided them. They had just enough for their day, so we have what we need to get through today and then wake up and tackle tomorrow when it comes. Worrying about potential dishes coming tomorrow doesn’t help. Who knows maybe tomorrow we will use paper plates 😂

Great day today! Ziggy kept watch while the girls played outside creating animal worlds and setting up bug houses and collecting bugs, they checked on our fish in our water gardens, we got resources for God Girls Club, did spelling and music!
