Andrea Bolding Wellness. IRest, Yoga Nidra & Yoga for PTSD & Wellbeing. Most of the world's Deaths, illness, misery are from Modifiable Causes.WE KNOW howto be healthier/happier, most of us don't do it. I learnt the answer.

My Nursing career was bandaid fixes for illness.I started to enquire into the question as to why? Yoga Sessions provide beginners with asana (postures), with pranayama (breath) practice and Meditation. Yoga is so much more than stretching. Regular practice develops a deeper connection and understanding of self and the body. iRest Yoga Nidra is a 10 step guided mindfulness meditation practice through which you establish a new deeper more trusting relationship with yourself. By watching how your mind produces thoughts & the body has emotions and sensations -, understanding how we function as a human being AND how we are the witness of this functioning in meditation, and the experience of stepping back into this witnessing presence part of us to experience the part of us that is Unchanging Whole & Complete Perfect exactly as we are. This creates a new perspective and a deep resilience. very similar to the work doctors are doing with Psylocibans, but with iRest you are always fully in charge. at one level iRest gives us tools to work with the human experience of thoughts and emotions and sensations and on another to experience that which we are above and beyond a simple embodied experience. iRest focuses on developing mindful attention of body sensations, emotions and thoughts, using of opposites to enhance mental and emotional flexibility, it encourages self respect, acceptance and nourishes joy and loving kindness
It develops a sense of curiosity using the body as a reference point for self enquiry. it can result in deep relaxation, better sleep increased, less triggering and more stability, resilience and focus - and a general wellbeing.

I think this is one of the biggest impediments to transformation.

The final letting go of the things we are attached to being in doing that made us the person we are,
So we can move on and be the person we were meant to be.

I love this πŸ˜πŸ˜„β€οΈ
Such a beautiful illustration.

And I just want to say that medication is not the only intervention to start making a difference to these feelings and thoughts.

A) Doing exercises behaviors and practicing thinking in a way that
1. changes the gear that our nervous system is in,
and starts to
2. develop "bounce-back-ability" in the nervous system. So we don't feel stressed we just respond well to distressful situations
B: feed our nervous system and cells the things it needs to function, and function in a way that feels good to be in our body and life not struggling and having a horrible time.
C: moving our bodies to make all of the above happen as well.

D: support. therapist or supportive friends, that know what they're on about - not friends who seem to be supportive but I actually harmful.

Just taking medication without doing these things is not
Going to give us a really good result.

SANE Australia has a free health coach mentor type program.
they don't give advice as such, but they help you set goals,
and accompany you through the process for about 13 weeks.
It's a free and brilliant program.

There's a book we read in high school called "small is beautiful"

It is the opposite of how our world has increasingly transformed over the last 50 years for organiz ation to become bigger and bigger whether that s our local council or businesses or departments within governments
, or a farming industry and agriculture.

Going bigger means we are increasingly disconnected from one another.
And with that disconnection is a lack of intimacy, deeper understanding of the people in the situation, And really the meaning in the situations.

Indigenous Australia also used this form of law - where we were personally accountable to our immediate community, Law was very personal.

I think this is a something important to remember.
Distance from one another is the opposite of Connection - one of the most foundational pillars of health.
Small is beautiful .
It's a brilliant read.

This is just a really wonderful podcast
A particularly excellent episode called "stillness is a power move"

It does contain emotional references to stress, coping mechanisms and suicidal ideation.
So treat it carefully and think whether it is for you.

The nitty-gritty of emotional avoidance, nervous system overwhelm and disregulation and the ways, some ways we can address it , and pretend we're not addressing it - I am Not an Alcoholic'.

You’ve been trained to storm scenes and lead under pressure. But who trained you to slow down, on purpose? This week, Erin sits down with Vance Row, a retired...

Before you click.
Be aware there is triggering video of hate protest.
Hate protest that the silence of Australians is allowing.

Wellness is founded in far greater environment - than just a healthy body or breathwork and food you put in your body.

It's also HOW we live with everybody else in our society. A peaceful mind and a peaceful heart lives in a context of the immediate people around you and the society you live in.

And there's lots of players in our society.
It's important to be empowered, cultivate your personal agency and be active in maintaining that society for the flourishing and wellness of everybody, not just our own cosy little position.

Don't be intimidated when life looks like it's getting out of control,.
It's good to take some moments to be grounded and appreciative.

I don't know what everybody else's views are on the myriad of issues in our society - BUT our social peace and harmony is dependant on rules.
And a government and it's agencies that are proactive in keeping those rules.

I'm sure these men mean well, and don't tolerate people running around with machetes in Melbourne, potentially harming innocent people - potentially their loved ones
And they feel they're not being listened to - the government is missing in action.

But hate speech is illegal in Australia, it generates a bad vibe towards others and is a contagion that we don't want spread.

If You are from Melbourne, or this issue is important to you, then be active,
Use the agency that's gifted to you through our amazing democracy.
Write to ministers, Police Commissioner, the Premier, and our Prime Minister, and other power brokers and let them know that Australians care about how our country operates, and expects them to be proactive on issues of violence, even by certain racial groups. They are paid to respond and keep the peace so Vigilante made up up of Austrlian Dads, husbands, sons are not feeling the need to take to the streets and take Law into their own hands.

In whatever that way is for you,
whatever that means for you.

I'm not passing on this, just cause it can be seen as negative and divisive., and not a nice Wellness- spiritual theme. It is these foundationdational issues of safety, respect and community that allow us to enjoy the higher finer aspects of our lives.

It sends chills up my spine to watch it, especially if I had a brown coloured loved one in my life.

It's hard to thrive be well and be happy
when There's racism and bigotry and fighting on the streets, or Asian, Israel around Palestine Ukraine etc, It's dangerous to go out, It's dangerous to go to sleep etc etc.

We totally under appreciate what it is to be able to call Australia home. Whilst it isn't safe for everybody here in Australia, we have a lot of avenues to seek protection.

We're blessed living where we live so let's keep as peaceful & abundant as possible

Stay engaged.
Act- if you feel overwhelmed use your practises.
Don't shut off, Don't shut down.
Stay engaged, It's ok to have an opinion that doesn't agree with everybody else.

Be active be responsible,
You don't have to tell everybody else what you're doing or thinking.

Don't leave the heavy lifting to everybody else.
It's part of your wellness practice- for now and the future peace of Australia and our world.
