Andrea Bolding Wellness. IRest, Yoga Nidra & Yoga for PTSD & Wellbeing. Most of the world's Deaths, illness, misery are from Modifiable Causes.WE KNOW howto be healthier/happier, most of us don't do it. I learnt the answer.

My Nursing career was bandaid fixes for illness.I started to enquire into the question as to why? Yoga Sessions provide beginners with asana (postures), with pranayama (breath) practice and Meditation. Yoga is so much more than stretching. Regular practice develops a deeper connection and understanding of self and the body. iRest Yoga Nidra is a 10 step guided mindfulness meditation practice through which you establish a new deeper more trusting relationship with yourself. By watching how your mind produces thoughts & the body has emotions and sensations -, understanding how we function as a human being AND how we are the witness of this functioning in meditation, and the experience of stepping back into this witnessing presence part of us to experience the part of us that is Unchanging Whole & Complete Perfect exactly as we are. This creates a new perspective and a deep resilience. very similar to the work doctors are doing with Psylocibans, but with iRest you are always fully in charge. at one level iRest gives us tools to work with the human experience of thoughts and emotions and sensations and on another to experience that which we are above and beyond a simple embodied experience. iRest focuses on developing mindful attention of body sensations, emotions and thoughts, using of opposites to enhance mental and emotional flexibility, it encourages self respect, acceptance and nourishes joy and loving kindness
It develops a sense of curiosity using the body as a reference point for self enquiry. it can result in deep relaxation, better sleep increased, less triggering and more stability, resilience and focus - and a general wellbeing.

Follow your plan
Not your mood.

Don't ignore your feelings,
Just don't let them dictate to you

"No thanks, I'm staying sober have a lot to do tomorrow."
"I can't, I'm working over the weekend."
"Thanks for asking, but I'm working on eating healthier."
"Appreciate the invite, but I'm focused on my goals."

They will call you boring.
They will call you lame.
They will mock and shame you.

But remember... most importantly, they will merely be watching from the sidelines when you win the game. Follow the plan, not your mood.

It’s always a shock at first.
If you expect it and stay steady—have a plan—it passes. That’s where the magic is.
Diving into cold water: • Dive straight in (don’t ease in)
• Hold your breath through the body shock
• immediately swim holding breath, like a robot swimming
•about 5 strong strokes
• Then take your first breath
• Find your rhythm… and it starts to feeling less impossible, then feels good, then great

"whether you think you can
or
you think you can't

you're right"

- Mel Robbins Mum-

(your mindset pretty much dictates what you will dream of, attempt to do or not dare bother)

like the little engine that COULD "I think I can... I think I can..."
when you think you can.... you have a go, you try ... and its in the trying you create the results... you adjust.

I am surprised at how many people give up before they start.

I am starting from square one again today, paying attention to all those little things I tell myself - all day :)

I acheived a lot more when I was younger, even when lots stood in my way, I still got there, and pretty happily.
I just forgot along the way how I used to be, happy doing my own thing - deaf to the naysayers.

2026 year of the Firehorse is powering on - might as well make the most of it.

Merry Christmas everyone,
from Wld

Chrissy Day build up can be intense,
and the message behind it sidelined by prezzie stress, car parks, traffic, too many people & lunch dramas.
And it can be a bit emotional if you've lost someone and they're missing from the table this year.

I am totally guilty of the biggest Christmas stress head - but this year after a punishing few years a few health fights and remembering the unexpected stroke my Dad had on New Years Day - that literally changed everything for me.

TODAY I am going to be like Santa.
It took everything to drive up here to all be together,
Cos you never know when it's the last time.

Enjoy your Christmas.

And for all the legends working to keep the show on the road -
Coppas, ambos, nurses, all the people keeping power, water etc going....
Thank You - and extra special Christmas Wishes to you all

Bowel cancer is no longer an “older person’s disease.”
Australia has a bowel cancer epidemic striking the 20's to 40's.

Young people are dying from it.
Because misdiagnosis delays treatment.
Australia is not alone — this is happening globally.

Miles a 23yo was mistakenly diagnosed with Crohn's.
Crohn’s is devastating — but Crohn’s is not cancer.
They require completely different treatments.
Miles, died because aggressive bowel cancer was missed.

Forwarned is fore-armed.

The strongest defence we have right now against bowel cancer is
🧡 DIET
🧡 MOVE YOUR BODY
🧡 LOWER CHRONIC STRESS

No extremes.
No perfection.
Just consistent, realistic choices.

What actually helps:

🌿Cook wholefoods, veggies, legumes, clean meat, fish, simple breads.
🌿 Low sugar drinks & foods- high sugar causes insulin-like growth factor and cell proliferation meaning it feeds cancer.
🌿Limit or avoid alcohol,
🌿 No smoking, and va**ng
🌿 Limit ultra-processed packet foods, learn to cook again it's not hard (including “easy” frozen meals, frozen chicken kievs)
🌿 Limit processed meats there are low or no preservative salamis and hams sausages, bacon. but you look for them.
🌿 Cut back severely on fast food - it’s industrial waste pretending to be food
🌿 Watch emulsifiers (e.g. Polysorbate-80 / E433, E472.... ) from Ice Cream to prescription medicines and bread it's in it.
know your numbers: they damage the gut lining
🌿 know your numbers nitrates, emulsifiers, pfas in the plastics our food is wrapped in.
🌿 Choose real bread with short ingredient lists - emulsifier, preservative and cultured grain free
🌿 Eat vegetables daily. resistant starch feeds protective gut bacteria. Veggies, veggies, veggies. Qld Health standard id's 5 serves.
If you include some lentils beans chickpeas it's really easy.
🌿 Eat legumes (soaked or pressure-cooked) lentils beans chickpeas etc. Learn to cook recipes with this.
🌿 Avoid seed oils: systemic inflammation and oxidation in cooking. Use pure cold pressed olive or avocado oil. Not blended olive oil.
🌿 exercise small amounts x 5 times a week. Build up to 30 mins start with five or whatever you can do build the habit.
🌿 limit your life stresses as best you can what you can't limit proactive LEARN to stress less about those unchangeables.
Stress responding is mostly a learned behaviour - the triggers our built-in autonomic nervous system that's designed to keep us safe.
Get trauma therapy if that's what's driving it.

The gut drives your immune system, inflammation levels, mental health, and cancer risk.

We don’t yet know every trigger.
But we know enough to act.

Do what you can, while you can.
Share your cleaner food options.

It's worth the effort to have a healthier life and to share with younger people so they actually get to live their life.

Get started today.
You don't have to go all Sparta and eliminate everything and have cold showers in spend 23 hours in the gym.

Do you need to start and start small enough that you'll do it tomorrow in the next day.
The body will only respond to that not a couple of weeks.

I don't usually post articles like this.
This was a trend I started seeing before I left Midwifery

Data is thin
1993-2017 Vit K deficiency bleeds have increased, of those babies that h ad bleeds and were able to gf ace VitK - it was due to parental refusal.

I know everything around what we give our babies is emotional and drought with 'what ifs',
But Vit K is VERY low risk.

I think this is one of the biggest impediments to transformation.

The final letting go of the things we are attached to being in doing that made us the person we are,
So we can move on and be the person we were meant to be.
