Record after record after record! 🥇🥇🥇... Earlier this month, powerlifting competitors from all around the world converged onto the Gold Coast for the 2022 International Powerlifting League World Titles (IPL) to test their might 💪... Michael arrived back home from the event with Australian records for the Masters 75kg division in the squat, bench press and deadlift, and the coveted World Record for the Deadlift! (A whopping 275kg)...

What a phenomenal achievement Michael! It brings me such joy that our weekly traumatic myofascial release torture sessions can help bare you such tasty fruit, congratulations chief 🙌😅...

🤓 Ever heard of assisted stretching? It takes your flexibility and physical conditioning to the next level. For most of us, every day our poor posture, or repetitive dysfunctional movements place a great deal of trauma on our muscles, fascia and joints. This in turn creates pain in different parts of our body to signal something is either inflamed or imbalanced..

By using 'assisted' Active Resistance Stretching and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF Stretching), we can move the body into positions that break through hard fascia barriers to gain flexibility, range of motion and pain alleviation that would be sometimes impossible on our own 👀

Ben and i teamed up over 3 years ago for the objectives of enhancing his mindset, lifestyle, and confidence to bring about much needed visceral & physical personal change. In this 3 & half year period he has made a conscious decision to become a more goal-focused, lifestyle-responsible and personally-accountable young man, and in doing so, has lost a whopping permanent 32kgs along the way!!! 👊...

From that shy and reserved young lad whom walked unassumingly into our fitness club that fateful day, to this eager, motivated and self-driven gentleman you have become, I could not be anymore in awe of what you have holistically accomplished! Training your body is only a fraction of what installs lifelong health and happiness. You must also train your mind. Train your mind to relax, let go, and not defeatingly ponder or be concerned with what is out of your control 🙌...

At the end of each session we collectively relax and practice diaphragmatic breathing to release holistic tension and lay the platform for the beautiful weekend ahead 🤲😅...

We all have fat that is stored below the skin, and fat that is stored around our internal organs (visceral fat)... it is this visceral fat that is responsible for so many chronic diseases like cancers, dementia, heart attacks etc... the best form of exercise to reduce this visceral fat is intense but short bursts of (3 to 5 sets of 2mins to 5mins) safe cardiovascular exertions..
Yesterday we ran like the wind, and made sure that those little visceral nasties began metabolising for the weekend ahead 💪🥸...

So today we completely ceased all intensity training and revisited corrective functional movement patterns to make sure we are activating our muscles and joints biomechanically correctly 👊... the more you slow down and practice proper technique, the holistic benefits will serve you for life 🙌...
