It is endometriosis awareness month!

Today we will have a brief chat about endo belly. Endo belly can be a distressing symptom for women with endometriosis.

Women with endometriosis often experience chronic bloating and discomfort in the abdomen. One cause is SIBO - small intestine bacterial overgrowth.

Endometriosis causes inflammation in the abdomen. The lesions that bleed have no way to escape which leads to inflammation and irritation to the other tissues in the area.

This is one of the reasons women with endo can have digestive symptoms such as bloating.

Chinese medicine, including herbs and acupuncture are great tools in you r tool box for managing endometriosis!

New blog! Heavy periods are something I see a lot in clinic but it isn't always the reason someone has booked in. Yet heavy periods can have a significant impact on our health and our life. Read more about it!

Perimenopause is part of ‘the menopause’ transition and is a significant time of change in a woman’s life. We can experience many physical and emotional difficulties during this time, some are well known but others aren't.

From irregular periods to mood swings and sleep problems, perimenopause can have a huge impact on our health.

As more women look for natural and holistic ways to take care of their health, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has become more popular for its potential in easing perimenopausal symptoms and improving our wellbeing.

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can be used to help with symptoms of perimenopause (and post menopause) issues.

Clearing Space, Making Room for the New

As summer reaches its peak, nature invites expansion, expression, and light. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this season is governed by the Fire element, associated with the Heart and Small Intestine—organs that guide joy, clarity, and discernment.

When Fire is balanced, we feel open, connected, and inspired. When it’s overloaded, we may feel restless, scattered, or depleted.

This Yin yoga and sound experience offers a nourishing pause within the intensity of summer—a chance to release what no longer serves and create space for what’s ready to emerge as we approach the Lunar New Year.

Through slow, grounding Yin postures, we will gently stimulate the meridian pathways, supporting circulation of Qi and Blood while inviting the nervous system into deep rest.

Longer-held shapes encourage physical release and emotional unwinding, helping to clear stagnation and soften accumulated tension.

Sound will be woven throughout the practice to deepen this process of letting go. Vibrational tones work beyond the thinking mind, guiding the body into a parasympathetic state where restoration, integration, and recalibration can occur.

Sound supports the free flow of energy, helping to settle the Heart, quiet the mind, and create a felt sense of spaciousness.

This is an invitation to clear space—physically, energetically, and emotionally—so you can step into the next cycle with greater ease, clarity, and intention. No striving, no forcing. Just the gentle art of making room for the new.

All levels welcome. No prior experience with Yin or sound healing required.
