Yesterday we tested over 8,000 people for COVID-19 - but we need to keep up the good work by ensuring that anyone who has symptoms gets a test.

To help with this, the Palaszczuk Government has set up additional clinics around Brisbane, including the Redcliffe Showgrounds for residents in our area. You don’t need a referral from a GP, just come along to:

Nice work, Queensland! Because of your great work in following good hygiene practices, socially distancing and getting the flu shot, flu numbers this year are significantly lower than what they have been in the last five flu seasons and are 84% lower than this time last year! 😮

Research suggests that Queenslanders have greatly improved their hygiene practices, which has helped to stop the spread of flu in our community.

Dr Deborah Day will be joining the team at Moreton Bay Medical Centre on the 6th April 2020

Dr Day is a graduate of the University of Sydney, a fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practice and has worked on the Redcliffe Peninsula for the past 17 years.

She has a broad range of clinical interest including:
Preventive Health, Chronic Disease Management, Children's Health and Immunisations, Women's Health including Antenatal and Postnatal Care, Implanon and IUD Removal, Mental Health, Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Seasonal and Travel Vaccines.

Patients who have seen Dr Day at her previous practice in Clontarf are welcome to book appointments now for the week staring 6th April 2020.
