Some days you just can’t be bothered cooking—and that’s okay.
Food doesn’t have to be complicated to be good for you.
Think whole foods, low prep, minimal effort, maximum nourishment 🥑🍳
A simple plate still counts:
• Eggs, fruit, yogurt
• Tinned fish + salad
• Toast with avocado or nut butter
• Leftover protein + frozen veg
No fancy recipes. No hours in the kitchen.
Just real food that fuels you and fits your energy level ✨
Easy food is still good food.

If you’ve got busy kids like us, you’ll know how wild weekends can be 🤯
You’re trying to tidy the house, get organised… and somehow keep the kids entertained too.

We often expect them to “just chill” — but let’s be real… they’ve got energy to burn 🔥

This morning we tried this little movement combo to get them moving and burn some of that energy off.
Full disclosure: I didn’t actually get anything done… because I joined in too 😅
But honestly? It was so much fun and we all had a laugh.

If you’re stuck for an easy, no-prep way to get the kids moving, give it a go and tell me what you think 👇
If you enjoy it, I’ll share more movement combos over the next few weeks as we do them.

My daily gratitude + mindfulness ritual is one of the biggest reasons I feel happier, healthier, and more present—especially on busy days 🌿
Neuroscience shows that when we slow down to practice mindfulness and gratitude, we activate the prefrontal cortex (focus, clarity) and quiet the amygdala (stress + fear). This helps regulate the nervous system, lower cortisol, and increase dopamine and serotonin—the brain’s feel-good chemicals 🧠✨ Over time, this rewires the brain for resilience and emotional balance.
What I love most? It’s simple. No extra time, no perfection. Just a few intentional breaths, noticing the present moment, and naming what I’m grateful for. Even 2–3 minutes can shift your energy and bring you out of autopilot.
For busy lives, this ritual becomes an anchor—a pause that reminds you you’re safe, supported, and here. Some days it’s deep reflection, other days it’s gratitude for a warm drink or a quiet moment.
Presence is powerful. Gratitude makes it stick.
What would your ritual look like today? ✨

🚶‍♂️ Why Walking Is One of the BEST Fat-Loss Tools for Busy Adults
As a nutrition coach, I’ll say this louder for the people in the back:
You do NOT need intense workouts to lose body fat.
If you’re a busy adult juggling work, family, stress, and limited time—walking might be your secret weapon 👇
✨ Here’s why walking works so well for fat loss:
🧠 Low stress on your body
Hard workouts + a stressful life = burnout. Walking keeps cortisol (stress hormone) lower, which actually supports fat loss instead of fighting it.
🔥 Burns fat without wrecking recovery
Walking uses fat as a primary fuel source and doesn’t interfere with muscle recovery or hunger hormones like intense cardio can.
⏱ Easy to fit into real life
10–20 minutes after meals
Walking meetings
Evening decompression walks
It all counts.
🍽 Improves blood sugar & digestion
Post-meal walks help regulate blood sugar, reduce cravings, and improve nutrient use—huge for body composition.
📈 Consistency beats intensity
Fat loss is about what you can do most days, not what looks impressive once a week.
💡 Coach tip:
Aim for 6–10k steps/day (not perfection). Pair that with enough protein, balanced meals, and sleep—and you’re playing the long game.

Learn to create sustainable habits and build strategies to overcome the hustle and bustle of life.

Meet Emily ❤️🙏

My journey with yoga began when I was just three years old, given the very important role of “assistant teacher” to my Nanna — one of the first female yoga teachers in Adelaide. Although she passed not long after, her love of yoga planted a quiet seed within me that would blossom years later.

As a young adult, I found my way back to yoga as a tool to ease anxiety, seeking stillness and peace. What began as a way to calm my mind soon unfolded into a lifelong journey of self-awareness, healing, and connection. I went on to complete my yoga teacher training to deepen my personal practice and understanding, later expanding my studies to include meditation and Reiki — becoming a Reiki Master.

The physical aspects of yoga — combining asana to build and maintain strength and mobility — have also been deeply important to me, particularly through periods of physical recovery. Having experienced both the physical and mental benefits of yoga firsthand, I’m passionate about sharing these gifts with others.

My teachings weave together personal experience and ancient wisdom — blending movement, breath, mindfulness, meditation, and energy healing. They are guided by the philosophy of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga as both a foundation and a way of life.

I’m passionate about holding space for others in this busy, often overwhelming world — offering a place to slow down, switch off, and reconnect with mind, body, and breath. My classes invite you to nurture yourself on every level — mind, body, and soul — returning to the quiet wisdom and balance that already live within each of us.

I look forward to joining you on the mat sometime 🧘‍♀️🕉

Namaste 🙏

Health is more than fad diets and spin classes.
It’s healthy relationships.
Strong mental health.
Prioritising yourself and learning to say no—without guilt.
It’s understanding your emotions, learning how to regulate them, and not letting them run your life.
It’s moving your body in different ways, not punishing it.
It’s knowing that sometimes life gets overwhelming… and that’s okay.
And sometimes, the healthiest thing you can do is get support.
A coach can help you sift through the 💩, gain clarity, and move forward with confidence instead of burnout.

This time of year can feel overwhelming — fuller schedules, less daylight, more demands. That’s exactly why the simple non-negotiables need to be done daily, not just when things feel calm.
Self-regulation is your ability to stay grounded, steady, and emotionally balanced even when life feels busy or stressful. It’s how your nervous system knows it’s safe enough to respond instead of react.
And regulation doesn’t come from big, complicated routines — it comes from daily consistency with the basics.
✨ Daily non-negotiables that support regulation:
• Sleep — Prioritizing enough rest every night helps regulate mood, focus, and stress hormones. One good night matters, but daily sleep habits create stability.
• Movement — Daily movement (even gentle) helps release built-up tension and supports emotional balance. It doesn’t have to be intense — it just has to happen.
• Water — Hydrating every day supports brain function, energy levels, and emotional regulation. Dehydration alone can increase stress and fatigue.
• Good nutrition — Eating regularly and nourishing your body daily helps stabilize blood sugar, which directly impacts mood, energy, and regulation.
These aren’t optional extras — they are daily practices that keep your nervous system supported, especially during busy or stressful seasons.
When you protect these daily non-negotiables, you’re not being rigid — you’re creating safety, resilience, and balance.
✨ What are your top 5 daily non-negotiables that help keep you regulated?

🧘‍♀️ Stressed? Unroll your mat. 💆‍♂️

Yoga isn’t just about flexibility or perfect poses — it’s one of the most powerful natural stress relievers out there. And science backs it up. 🧠✨

When you practice yoga, your body activates the parasympathetic nervous system (aka the “rest and digest” mode), reducing cortisol — the stress hormone — and calming your mind. Deep breathing (pranayama) + mindful movement = a direct signal to your brain that you’re safe. 🤍

Research shows that regular yoga practice can:
✅ Lower cortisol levels
✅ Reduce anxiety & depression
✅ Improve heart rate variability (HRV = better stress resilience)
✅ Boost mood through endorphin release

So next time you feel overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths, move your body, and reconnect with yourself. Yoga meets you where you are — and helps bring you back to peace. 🕊️

🔥 Small Habits. Big Results. Especially When Life Gets Messy. 🔥
Your brain is built by repetition.
Every tiny habit you do—yes, even the 1-minute ones—teaches your neurons to fire and wire together.
That’s how change becomes automatic. 🧠⚡
But the real test?
The holiday chaos.
Christmas. New Year. Stress. Late nights. Too much to do. 🎄✨
Most people drop their habits here.
But this is exactly when your habits matter most.
This is where the “fanatical” rules kick in:
🚀 Show up small, but show up
🚀 Protect consistency at all costs
🚀 Don’t break the chain—shrink the habit instead
1 minute still counts.
1 rep still counts.
1 page still counts.
Every tiny action you keep during the busiest season strengthens your identity.
You’re proving to yourself:
“I don’t quit when it gets hard.”
“I don’t disappear when life gets loud.”
“I stay committed—no matter what.”
That’s how you build momentum.
That’s how you build discipline.
That’s how you build you.
Small habits done during the hardest times?
That’s your superpower. 💥✨

A little Bali magic today ✨
We had the most powerful healing session — everything he shared landed so perfectly. After an intense release, I’m feeling relaxed, grounded, and pain-free.
