⭐ Exciting News at Renmark Medical ⭐

We are thrilled to introduce Jarrod Hales, our new visiting podiatrist! 👣

Jarrod Hales is a podiatrist with over 10 years experience in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation, managing everything from everyday foot and ankle pain through to post surgical and WorkCover cases.

He has a long standing connection to the Riverland. His grandfather was the captain of the Marion paddle steamer, and his family has had a river shack locally for more than 40 years.

Jarrod will be consulting in clinic every six weeks, with telehealth consultations available in between. Through BackRoad Health, he provides practical, outcomes focused podiatry care with an emphasis on clear advice, structured rehabilitation, and helping people return to confident movement.

⭐🫀 DR. JOSHUA LUSHINGTON - CARDIOLOGIST 🫀⭐

We are excited to introduce Dr. Joshua Lushington, who will be joining us in January 2026!

Dr. Joshua Lushington is a general and diagnostic cardiologist. He completed his medical training at the University of Adelaide, where he was dux of his year and further awarded the University Medal for outstanding academic achievement. He completed his physician and cardiology training at the Queen Elizabeth and Royal Adelaide Hospitals. He has subsequently undertaken further overseas fellowships at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and the University College Hospital London. His fellowship training focussed on multi-modality cardiac imaging, stress testing and the management of cardiac disease in cancer patients or survivors (cardio-oncology). Dr. Lushington will also manage all general cardiology referrals, and can facilitate urgent assessments for chest pain or other concerning symptoms as required. Dr. Lushington will provide comprehensive cardiovascular assessment and care, delivered in an approachable and patient-centred manner.

📆 Speak with your GP about getting a referral to see Dr Lushington. Appointments are now available for scheduling!

PLEASE NOTE: Dr Lushington will only see patients referred by Doctors at Renmark Medical.

Renmark Medical Clinic is now offering Routine Requests via Hotdoc.

This service is for existing patients only, who require a repeat script for regular medications that have previously been prescribed by our clinic and repeat referrals, for previously referred services. (some conditions do apply)

This service is only available via Hotdoc, and all requests need to be made via the Hotdoc app/website. There is a non-medicare claimable fee to all patients.

✨ Barbara Tsolomitis – Business Manager

Barbara has been an integral part of Renmark Medical Clinic for 16 years. She first joined the team as a receptionist and, over the last six years, has progressed through various management roles—from finance to overseeing staff and supporting the Practice Manager and Practice Partners in the smooth running of the clinic. Barbara now leads our management team as Business Manager, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to her role.

✨ Amy Gibbons – Business Services Manager

Amy joined the clinic two years ago as a receptionist and quickly demonstrated exceptional skill, knowledge, and leadership qualities. Her commitment and ability to adapt have seen her grow into her new role as Business Services Manager, where she will work closely with Barbara to support our business operations and enhance patient and staff experiences.

Together, Barbara and Amy form a strong leadership team committed to excellence and community care. Please join us in congratulating them on their new roles!

💡 What is COPD? COPD is a progressive lung disease that includes conditions like chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Symptoms include shortness of breath, persistent cough, and wheezing.

Stay active: Pulmonary rehabilitation can improve lung function.
Avoid lung irritants: Poor air quality and allergens can worsen symptoms.
Vaccinate: Protect yourself from flu, RSV, and pneumonia.

Anyone with the following should get tested:
Long-term exposure to air pollution (including smoke, dust, fumes and chemicals)
