Today we mark World AIDS Day, an international day first held in 1988 to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS, remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses, and show support for people living with HIV.

In Australia, an estimated 30,000 people are living with HIV, and worldwide, 39.9 million people are living with the virus, with more than 42.3 million lives lost to AIDS-related illness. World AIDS Day is a chance to raise awareness, eliminate stigma, and promote prevention, treatment, and care.

This year’s theme is 'No one left behind', highlighting the importance of inclusion, understanding, and support for everyone affected by HIV.

We are honoured to have won the ‘Creating a Sustainable and Climate Resilient Health System’ award at last night's Victorian Public Healthcare Awards!

Our Climate Action work brings together staff, clients and community members to develop effective, practical solutions including fleet electrification, rooftop solar and better waste management, to improve our sustainability. These actions have cut our emissions by 33% and driven meaningful change across the organisation.

Thanks to our team for embracing and championing climate action at Your Community Health. This recognition celebrates our shared commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable Victoria.

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women which marks the start of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

Today marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism 2025, with this year's focus on ending digital violence against all women and girls. Violence against cis and trans women is equally unacceptable, and this partnership between Zoe Belle Gender Collective Inc and WHIN - Women's Health in the North is a powerful example of solidarity.

Our friends at Darebin City Council are hosting several free events for connection and action during the 16 Days. Find out more here: https://bit.ly/16Days25.

🌈 We are excited to showcase The Being Valued Toolkit at the Pride in Practice Conference with Transgender Victoria next Tuesday!🌈

This community-led resource, co-designed with LGBTIQA+ workers, offers practical guidance to create safer, more inclusive, and gender-affirming workplaces.

Today is about standing together as a community, uplifting each other, and reflecting on the journeys and legacies that inspire hope and greater inclusion for the future.

We honor the strength of the trans community and reflect on the beauty and diversity they bring to our world. We stand in solidarity, committed to building a future where every person is safe, respected, and free to be their authentic self.

Let us continue to support one another, amplify trans voices, and work collectively for a more inclusive and accepting society.

Our 2024–2025 Annual Report is officially here!
This year, we meet Russell, a proud Gunditjmara man, storyteller and lifelong advocate who has become a much-loved member of our community.

A routine visit to our wulempuri barring health centre led to the discovery of Type 2 Diabetes, a moment Russell says changed his life. Since then, he has connected with our Diabetes Educators, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Optometrists and Medical teams.

Through our support groups, Russell has found connection, learning and community. His story shows the impact of caring, culturally safe healthcare.
