We all have those days where no matter how much sleep we get, we still feel wiped out. Sometimes, it could be more than just a busy week.

Low iron or vitamin B12 can leave you feeling constantly tired, dizzy, or lacking energy. Iron helps carry oxygen around your body, while B12 helps convert food into fuel.

Pop in and we’ll help you choose the right option, whether that’s Ferro-Grad C, Blackmores Iron, or a B12 supplement like Nature’s Own or Blackmores B12.

You know when a label says “all-natural” and it instantly feels like it must be safe? We get it, but that’s not always the case.

Natural products can still cause side effects or interact with medicines. St John’s Wort can reduce how some prescriptions work, Valerian can make you drowsy, and even Echinacea can trigger allergies for some people.

Natural can be great when used properly. If you’re unsure, come see us and we’ll help you choose safely.

❄️ Winter can leave your skin feeling dry, itchy, and tight. Here’s how to help:

✔ Use a rich, fragrance-free moisturiser daily
✔ Try QV Cream or Cetaphil Moisturising Cream for everyday dryness
✔ For very dry or eczema-prone skin, use E45 or Aveeno Dermexa
✔ Apply moisturiser straight after showering to lock in hydration
✔ Avoid long, hot showers which can strip your skin’s natural oils

Ask your pharmacist in-store for tailored dry skin care advice.

💊 Think all pain relief works the same way? Not quite. Here’s the difference:

✔ Paracetamol, like Panadol, reduces pain and fever and is gentle on the stomach
✔ Ibuprofen, like Nurofen, targets inflammation and muscle pain
✔ Maxigesic combines both for stronger, broader relief
✔ Always check with your pharmacist before combining or switching pain relief
✔ Choose what suits your pain type and your body best

✨ School holidays done right at Direct Chemist Outlet Reservoir

Laughter, learning, and a lot of curiosity filled the store during our Little Pharmacist Experience.

Kids had the chance to explore what happens behind the counter, learn about health in a fun and approachable way, and proudly take on the role of pharmacist for the day. The energy in store was unreal and the smiles said it all.

To every family who popped in and took part, thank you for being part of such a great day. Experiences like this are exactly why community pharmacy matters.

You know that burning feeling after a big meal or a cheeky midnight snack? That’s heartburn.

If it happens now and then, Quick-Eze Chewable Tablets or Gaviscon Dual Action Liquid can bring fast relief. But if it’s happening most days, Nexium 24HR can help control acid long-term.

Try smaller meals, skip lying down after eating, and ease off the spicy or fatty foods if you can. And if it’s not settling, come have a chat with your pharmacist.

You know that moment when you’re picking up your prescription and reach for your vitamins, then stop and think, “Wait, can I actually take these together?” You’re not alone.

Some vitamins are completely fine to use with medicines, while others can interfere with how they work. Magnesium, for example, can affect how some prescriptions are absorbed, but a daily multivitamin or probiotic is usually no problem.

If you’re ever unsure, just ask your pharmacist. We’ll help you work out what’s safe and what’s not.
