We're Hiring:
Occupational Therapist with a Love for Animals and Nature-Based Therapy
Location: Hackham & Clarendon.
We’re on the lookout for an Occupational Therapist who brings more than just clinical skills. We're looking for someone who is creative, flexible, passionate about animals, and open to working in diverse, sensory-rich environments that go beyond the traditional therapy room.
What We Offer:
Large OT Space – Hackham (PAHS House)
A large, equipped therapy room designed specifically for occupational therapy. The house also features a functional kitchen and laundry to support life skill development in real-world settings.
Therapeutic Farm – Clarendon
Set on 20 acres, this nature-based therapy space offers the chance to work outdoors and tailor sessions to suit sensory needs, regulation, and emotional wellbeing. It includes:
• A five-senses garden (sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste)
• Open fields and natural spaces
• Farm animals and native wildlife that support emotional regulation and connection
• 11 horses, ideal for therapists familiar with working with equines and see the value of using them as an ‘motivator’ within a therapy session, offering a unique way to explore social and emotional skills.
Why Join Us?
We are not your typical therapy service. We believe therapy can – and should – happen in the environments that best support our clients. Whether that’s in a garden, beside a horse, in a kitchen, or under a gum tree.
We're also registered providers, and are eager to work more closely with allied health professionals to develop new, client-centred ways of working.
Who We’re Looking For:
• A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist
• Someone who is flexible, creative, and open to alternative therapy approaches
• Experience or interest in nature-based, animal-assisted, or equine-assisted therapy is highly regarded
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
• Passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals and those with sensory needs
Let’s Talk
We’re open to flexible arrangements – full-time, part-time, or contractor model. If you're curious about working in a dynamic, nature-based, and animal-friendly environment, we’d love to hear from you.
