What are conjunctions? 💬

Conjunctions are connecting words like ‘and’, ‘so’ or ‘but’ - they connect ideas, thoughts and sentences! 🧩💡

⭐️ AND typically emerges around 2-3 years

⭐️ BUT and BECAUSE often develop around 3-4 years

⭐️ More Complex conjunctions (e.g., although, while, unless) continue to develop as children get older

You can support your child’s language development by modelling conjunctions naturally throughout your day and expanding on your child’s sentences! 🙌🏽✨

Swing, spin and strengthen! ✨💪

The nest swing isn’t just fun - it helps kids stay calm, focused and builds core strength. This has steadily become one of our favourite tools here at Grow & Tell and is used frequently in our 1:1 and joint speech and OT sessions. Who knew therapy could be this playful? 🤩🙌

Cynthia is one of our new Speech Pathologists here at Grow & Tell 🌱⭐️You can find her at the Rhodes clinic 5 days per week.

She is passionate about tailoring sessions to the interests of each child and working with families as well as other professionals to make sure they are well supported! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼👥

Welcome to Child Speech Therapy Australia (formerly Word Of Mouth).

Established in 2008 in Sydney, Child Speech Therapy Australia works with families in the North Sydney region and Ryde region.

We provide specialist support to children aged 0-12 years in the areas of Articulation (Speech Sounds), Phonetics and Phonology, Stuttering, Social Skills (Pragmatics), and Receptive and Expressive Language Delay.

With 12 years experience, Principal Speech Pathologist Julie Tushuizen graduated with a Master Of Speech and Language Pathology, Master of Inclusive Education (Autism), and Bachelor of Arts (English, Linguistics, Sociology).
