                                            Muscle soreness ≠ Getting stronger
That “next day ache” following a workout (DOMS = delayed onset muscle soreness) happens when your muscles experience microtrauma after intense exercise.
This triggers a healing and repair response making the muscle fibres more resilient and capable over time.
BUT…
You don’t need soreness as an indication of a “good workout”.
As your body adapts, you’ll experience less soreness and will still be getting stronger.
The key for strength gains is consistency, progressive overload and recovery - not chasing the ache.
