We’re on the lookout for warm, enthusiastic clinicians to join our supportive, down-to-earth team. Whether you’re a new grad or early in your career, we’d love to hear from you!

Positions are available from August, with 1–2 days a week to start and the potential to grow your hours over time. Your caseload will focus primarily on therapy, with assessment work if you're keen to build those skills.

As Ascension keeps growing, I think a lot about what neurodiversity truly means to me not just as a psychologist, but as someone who’s lived it. It’s a big question, and I don’t think I can summarise it in a single blog post. To me, neurodiversity is about celebrating the many ways people learn, think, and experience the world while also acknowledging that life can be extremely tough for neurodivergent individuals. Neuroaffirming practice means we have a responsibility to keep learning about different brain styles to ensure that no neurodivergent kiddo grows up in a world where they are shamed for being different. 🌟 A  Gaming Group Where Neurodivergent Kids Can Just Be Themselves🌟  

Hey all, got a kiddo (8-12 or 13-16) who feels like they don’t quite fit in? Wish they had a space to make friends, share their experiences, and learn about their awesome neurodivergent brain? We got you! 🙌  

🚨 This is NOT a social skills group! 🤮🚨  No awkward role-playing or forced eye contact—just a fun, supportive space where kids can:  

🧠 Learn what it actually means to be neurodivergent  
🎭 Talk about masking & why being themselves  
🌊 Figure out emotions & ways to handle the tough ones  
🤝 Make real friendships with kids who get it  

AND PLAY LOTS OF VIDEO GAMES TOGETHER.

No pressure, no judgment—just a community where kids can embrace who they are and have a blast doing it!  

Our groups are run either in person  at our Balwyn North Location or via telehealth with our Provisional Psychologist Phoebe.
