Knee pain while playing tennis? ๐ŸŽพ You arenโ€™t alone.

With the Australian Open in full swing, many of us are inspired to hit the courts. But the quick direction changes, lunges and explosive sprints required in tennis can lead to "Patellofemoral pain" (pain around or behind the kneecap).

Itโ€™s often not caused by one bad step, but gradually builds up over time due to:
- Weak glutes or thigh muscles
- Sudden spikes in training load
- Poor knee control

Our new blog post breaks down exactly why this happens and how to fix it ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

There are plenty of awesome actions in this chat as they dive into the opportunities, the hard things, the good and the bad that Emma experienced and how it all combined to make her the great practitioner that she is today!

Muscle imbalances play a huge role in patellar stability.

Medial weakness in the quadriceps, lateral tightness or tonicity, hip weakness and kinetic chain movement patterns all matter.

Most dislocations happen in closed-chain with a valgus force - so rehab must look at the whole chain. ๐Ÿ”—
