✨ Your pelvic floor isn’t just about strength — it’s about balance. ✨

Just like any other muscle in your body, your pelvic floor should be able to contract AND fully relax. If your pelvic floor is high tone or not able to fully relax it can lead to symptoms like:
💥 pelvic pain
💥 bladder urgency or leakage
💥 pain with intimacy
💥 difficulty emptying the bladder or bowels

A healthy pelvic floor is a flexible one — strong when it needs to be, and able to relax when it needs to 🧘‍♀️

If it sounds like you might have a high tone pelvic floor, a pelvic floor physio can help you learn how to release and retrain these muscles.

🌸 Ultrasound for Mastitis Relief 🌸
Did you know therapeutic ultrasound can help speed up recovery from mastitis? 💨
It works by increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and helping to clear narrowed ducts — easing pain and swelling so you can feel more comfortable, sooner.

If you’re experiencing mastitis, you don’t have to wait it out — we can often get you in as soon as possible for treatment and support 🤍

✨ A small tool with a big impact during labour.
Birth combs work by stimulating pressure points in your hands — helping your brain focus on that sensation rather than the intensity of contractions.
They can activate the body’s natural pain-relief pathways, encourage relaxation, and give you a sense of control and grounding through each surge.

When preparing for a vaginal birth, it’s helpful to have a range of pain management tools ready — from movement and breathing, to touch, water, sound, and tools like a comb.
Every body and every birth is different, so consider what options feel right for you and what helps you feel supported and in control. 🌿

✨ Dry needling — a gentle technique used by physios to help release tight muscles, reduce pain, and improve movement.
It can be a great adjunct to your treatment, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle 🧩
Lasting results come from combining it with the right exercises, education, and other tailored interventions 💪🌸

✨ Knowledge is empowering ✨
At our clinic, we believe that understanding your body is one of the most powerful tools you can have. Pelvic floor physio isn’t just about treatment—it’s about education, awareness, and helping you feel confident in your body.

Whether it’s learning how your pelvic floor works, understanding changes during pregnancy and postpartum, or finding the right strategies for your unique journey, we’re here to guide and support you every step of the way. 💛

Because when you know more about your body—you can do more, feel more, and live more. 🌸

💧 Not all l***s are created equal! 💧
When it comes to vaginal comfort, moisturisation, and pelvic health, the type of lubricant you choose really matters.

✨ Oil-based (Olive & Bee): Great moisturiser, natural, but not safe with condoms/toys.
✨ Water-based (Yes WB): Condom & toy friendly, pH balanced, but less moisturising.
✨ Hybrid (Sliquid Silk): Water + silicone, long-lasting, pH balanced, condom safe.
✨ Cheap supermarket l***s: Often high osmolality, can dry tissue & disrupt microbiome.

This is just a small sample of the wide range of l***s out there—each with different pros and cons. 👉 Chat to your pelvic floor physio about which option might suit your body and needs best.

(This information is general in nature- please read the individual labels and use as directed)

✨ Did you know there are heaps of different types of pessaries out there? ✨

From rings to cubes and everything in between — pessaries come in a wide range of shapes and sizes so they can be tailored to your body and your needs.

At our clinic, we offer pessary fitting as part of pelvic floor physiotherapy care. A well-fitted pessary can:
✔️ Support pelvic organ prolapse
✔️ Help manage bladder leakage
✔️ Provide comfort during exercise and daily life
✔️ Be a non-surgical option for many people

If you’re curious about whether a pessary could help you, chat with our physios. We’ll guide you through your options and help find the right fit for you. 💜

✨ Pelvic Floor Physio & Sexual Pain ✨

Did you know pelvic floor physiotherapy can play an important role in helping with sexual pain? 💜 Many people don’t realise that pain with intimacy isn’t something they have to manage on their own.

🔹 Pelvic floor relaxation – Learning how to soften and release tight pelvic floor muscles can reduce tension that often contributes to pain.
🔹 Whole body approach – Your physio looks beyond just the pelvis, addressing posture, breathing, stress, and surrounding muscle groups that may be influencing your symptoms.
🔹 Education – Understanding what’s happening in your body helps reduce fear and anxiety, giving you confidence to take steps toward recovery.
🔹 Desensitisation techniques – Gentle, graded strategies can retrain the nervous system, helping the body feel safe and comfortable again with touch and intimacy.

There are a range of treatment options available if you’d like support, and a pelvic floor physio can help guide you through them. 🌿
