Rhinoplasty Before & 12 months After

Bruising around the eyes after rhinoplasty is common typically resolving within one to two weeks. It occurs particularly when adjustments are made to the nasal bones. Healing varies between individuals, and some people may notice more discolouration than others in the days following the procedure.

Measures such as the use of tranexamic acid (TXA) medication, appropriate post-operative care, cold compresses, and resting with the head elevated may help reduce the extent of bruising.

I am passionate about aesthetic and reconstructive facial surgery and undertook further subspecialist training in this field. I am also an active volunteer with Interplast, a not-for-profit whose mission is to ‘repair bodies and rebuild lives’ by providing surgical services to patients as well as mentorship and teaching to local surgeons in areas of the Asia Pacific.
