“The Untraditional Bloom”
Some flowers bloom late.💐
Not because they’re slow , but because their roots needed deeper soil, like me.
In the past 13 years,
I bloomed through nursing.
Through motherhood.
Big wins, even bigger losses…..
Through entrepreneurship and healing work and all the chapters that weren’t in any textbook.
I used to think higher education wasn’t for women like me , women who learned life in real time,
who built themselves from intuition,
who carried whole families and whole communities before carrying a backpack again.
So when Cal Lutheran opened its doors for my master’s in Counseling Psychology.
my heart softened.
Because this isn’t just an acceptance.
It’s a becoming.
A rising.
A reminder that I didn’t take the wrong road ,
I took the one that taught me everything I needed for this moment. And you can still make it out on top of your dreams….
And to everyone who played a part ,
thank you.🫶🏽🥹
For the support, the love, the encouragement,
and even the subtle doubt that pushed me to rise higher.
You all watered this bloom.
Master’s now.
PhD soon.
And all of it blooming right on time✨
