The PicoWay laser works by delivering ultra-short, high-peak-power pulses of light to shatter pigment or tattoo ink into tiny particles, which are then cleared by the body's immune system. This digital dermoscopy system allows our fully accredited skin cancer doctors to take high resolution images of your entire skin. This creates a “mole map” and means we can closely track changes in any suspicious lesions over time.

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹
→ 𝗮𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀: some patients may not like the look or placement of a mole
→ 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁: typically includes skin covered by a bra strap or waist belt where it may be causing irritation or make shaving the face more difficult.
→ 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: concerned about an increased threat of skin cancer, it is possible for a common mole to become cancerous, although unlikely.

Sun damage is cumulative, meaning small incidences of sun exposure like walking the dog, driving, and sitting in a sunny spot at a cafe all adds up.
