United Disability Care

United Disability Care Originally the company was called Accommodation Network, then later ACCNet21.

Our mission at UDC is to support people with disability to love their life and live their dreams, by achieving their goals and connecting with their communities in meaningful ways. United Disability Care was founded in 1993 by a lovely lady named Deb Stewart who wanted to provide support services to people with a disability in their own home. Its operation was focused on the rural NSW regions north and north-west of Sydney, with its corporate support services and executive team offices in Tweed Heads and Ocean Shores, near the Queensland border. We provide supports in Southern QLD, Northern NSW and Mid-North Coast

🚗 Andrew’s Racing Dream Come True! 🚗

Andrew is incredibly passionate about car racing — especially the legendary Bathurst races, which he never misses on TV. He often reminisces about the times he attended races many years ago, and the excitement those days brought.

Thanks to the UDC Dreams Campaign, Andrew’s wish to relive that thrill came true when he attended the V8 Supercar Show at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich. Being back at the track, surrounded by the roar of the engines and the electric atmosphere, made this an unforgettable and deeply rewarding experience. 💛

At UDC, we love seeing lifelong passions celebrated and dreams brought to life. ✨

One of our recent Employee of the Month winners is Support Worker Niko! 💛

Niko goes above and beyond for both his team and the people we support. He’s a strong advocate, helping individuals explore their dreams and goals, ensuring appointments are met, and stepping up when extra support is needed.

He even brought his dog along to a community event (on his day off!) so the people we support could share in the fun. 🐾 His dedication, compassion, and teamwork shine through everything he does.

👏 Congratulations, Niko! We’re so grateful for the energy and heart you bring to UDC.

🚫 Myth: Supported Independent Living (SIL) means giving up your independence.

✅ Truth: SIL is all about building independence. With the right supports, people can live safely, gain new skills, and enjoy life in their own way.

💜 At UDC, we work with each person to make their home and support fit their goals — not the other way around.

🏁 Dreams in the Fast Lane! 🏁

Through our UDC Dreams Campaign, Paul recently had the chance to experience something he’s loved his whole life: attending the V8 Supercar Show at Queensland Raceway in Ipswich.

Growing up, Paul would watch the V8s with his family, cheering on his favourite drivers from the living room. These days, you’ll often find him glued to the screen on weekends, sharing his incredible knowledge of the sport from drivers and commentators to racing history.

Now, thanks to his Dream becoming reality, Paul got to swap the TV screen for the roar of the track and see his much-loved V8s up close! 💛✨

🌟 Dreams Come True – Sydney Adventure! 🌟

In July, thanks to UDC’s Dreams Campaign, Cassie and Renee travelled from the Gold Coast to Sydney for an unforgettable trip! 🛫✨

Both girls are huge fans of Home and Away, and their dream was to meet the cast and go on the set tour. This dream became reality with Support Worker Nicole accompanying the girls.

Highlights included:

🎬 Home and Away set tour – meeting actors, watching scenes being filmed, and taking photos at Summer Bay locations. Renee even received a framed personalized photo of Theo from the set!

🚢 Manly Ferry & Circular Quay adventures – spotting camera crews, pretending to read the news, and soaking up the stunning harbour views.

🏛 Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge – exploring every corner and enjoying the sights.

🍽 SkyFeast Dinner at Sydney Sky Tower – fine dining, massive prawns, breathtaking views, and lots of orange juice!

🍔 Maccas breakfasts & fun photo printing at Officeworks – finishing off each day with smiles and keepsakes.

Throughout the trip, the girls showed amazing independence, teamwork, and support for each other, reminding us all of their courage, friendship, and joy. 💛

Their mantra “We are strong independent women & can do this!” carried them through every step.

A huge thank you to Support Worker Nicole and the rest of the team who made this dream a reality. Seeing the girls’ excitement and happiness sure made our hearts so happy 💫

UDC Legends - Rosalie’s Incredible Transformation 🌟

Our UDC Legends series celebrates the inspiring journeys and achievements of the amazing people we support here at UDC 💛

Today, we’re proud to introduce and congratulate Rosalie, a shining example of strength, commitment, and self-belief. 💙

Rosalie set out to achieve a major health goal: to lose 88kg. Through unwavering dedication and a positive mindset, she surpassed that goal, losing an incredible 92kg—and keeping it off for over a year. 👏

Her motivation? To improve her mobility and overall wellbeing—and to become eligible for knee surgery that would help her manage arthritis. After reaching her goal weight and maintaining it at 76kg, we’re thrilled to share that Rosalie has now had the surgery she worked so hard for! 🎉

Rosalie made this life-changing progress by following her dietitian’s plan, which allowed flexibility and treats to support a lifestyle change, not just a diet. She also committed to regular exercise—both at home and swimming twice a week. 🏊‍♀️💪

Before beginning her health journey, Rosalie couldn’t comfortably travel in a car, which made going out difficult. Today, she’s active, independent, and out enjoying life—going on coffee dates with her boyfriend, visiting the library, and doing her own shopping.

Rosalie, your journey is nothing short of inspiring. Your determination and resilience make you a true UDC Legend. 💛🌟
