🌿 Let’s talk about Lipoedema 🌿

Lipoedema is a misunderstood condition that affects the way fat (adipose tissue) is stored in the body. It’s a chronic disease where fat continues to accumulate disproportionately, meaning it doesn't respond to typical weight loss methods. It's often leading to pain, heaviness, and reduced mobility.

I recently supported a client through pre- and post-lipoedema exstraction surgery with lymphatic drainage - helping to ease pain, reduce swelling and support the healing process.

After surgery, bruising is common as the body begins its healing journey and that’s where gentle, supportive lymphatic drainage can really help. These treatments reduce swelling, manage discomfort, and help the body recover.

Lipoedema isn't just about appearance — it’s about living with daily pain, fatigue, and the emotional weight of being misunderstood.

Many people with lipoedema wear compression garments, use compression pumps (if tolerated), adjust their diet, and receive regular lymphatic therapy just to maintain their quality of life. But even with all this effort, the condition can progress.

✨ For some, surgery becomes a big turning point — not just physically, but emotionally.

It can ease pain, improve movement, and reduce the risk of long-term complications. While it’s not the right choice for everyone, I offer support for those going through it — before and after — to help ease the transition and support healing.

💛 I’m sharing this because lipoedema needs more awareness and compassion.

Too often, those with the condition are dismissed or judged as simply overweight. But what’s really happening is a disruption in how the body stores and manages fat — and the pain, both physical and emotional, is very real.

You may know someone who is quietly struggling with lipoedema without even realising it has a name. Every person’s story is different. Let’s listen, learn, and be kind. ❤

✨ Lymphatic Drainage & Menopause

Did you know that lymphatic drainage can help ease some of the common discomforts of menopause? From fluid retention to joint stiffness, circulation issues, and even skin health—this gentle therapy supports your body’s natural flow.

✨How These Hormones Affect Your Lymphatic System:

✔️ Estrogen = Keeps blood & lymphatic vessels elastic and flexible
✔️ Progesterone = Helps blood & lymphatic vessels relax and reduce inflammation
✔️ Testosterone = Strengthens vessels, boosts muscle-driven lymph flow, and supports fluid balance

The lymphatic system helps transport and balance hormones. Both men and women have all three, and their balance is key for circulation, lymphatic function, and inflammation control!

Everyone's experience is unique, and treatments are tailored to your body’s needs. If you’d like to explore how lymphatic drainage can support you, call/text 0401037637 or DM me to book a session with Meg!

🌿Imagine your body as a fish tank. If the filter is working well, the water stays clear, oxygen flows freely, and the fish thrive.

But when the filter isn’t functioning properly, the change isn’t instant—it happens gradually.

The water becomes stagnant, oxygen levels drop, the environment becomes acidic, and the fish start to suffer😓

Your lymphatic system works in a similar way.
When your lymph nodes (the “filters”) are blocked or sluggish, lymph fluid doesn’t flow efficiently, leading to a build up of toxins in the body.

The tricky part? Unlike a fish tank, we can’t see this imbalance in our lymphatic system until symptoms start to appear.....🙄and by then, clearing it up takes time and effort.

✨ The first step to "cleaning your filter"?
Reduce the toxins already in your body and support the system with proper care.

Popular detox methods include healthy nutrition, hydration, fasting, movement and sauna.

But have you added Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) to your routine? It's a powerful way to encourage flow, reduce toxicity, and support overall health.

Taking care of your lymphatic system can make a huge difference in how your body feels and functions. Considering adding MLD for an extra boost. Your body will thank you🥰

To book MLD with Meg call/text 0401037637 or DM me😊

Pitting oedema, a sign of fluid retention, can greatly benefit from Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD). Here's when you might consider it:

👉 Stage 1 or Mild Swelling: Even if swelling resolves temporarily, MLD helps maintain healthy lymph flow and prevent recurring issues.

👉 Ongoing Discomfort: Symptoms like pain, tightness, or heaviness in swollen areas signal the need for extra lymphatic support.

👉 Chronic Oedema or Lymphoedema: If you're wearing compression garments but find it challenging in the Gold Coast's hot summers, MLD can help manage swelling and reduce risks.

👉 Preventive Care: Scheduling MLD before symptoms worsen aids toxin clearance and supports circulation.

For those managing lymphoedema, consistent care like MLD enhances the benefits of compression therapy, especially during seasonal changes when compliance might slip for some people.

Taking early action keeps you comfortable and active😊

📞 Need MLD? Call/text 0401 037 637 or DM me to book!

🌿Another common vein condition is varicose veins (stage 2).

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) doesn’t cure varicose veins but it offers great benefits, such as reducing swelling, easing discomfort or pain, and promoting better overall vein health.
It can also help minimize the risk of complications from vein diseases.

For daily vein management, compression therapy (like stockings or bandages) is often recommended.

As a qualified decongestive lymphatic drainage therapist, I can guide you on medical-grade compression levels (20mmHg+). However, compression therapy isn’t suitable for everyone, so consulting your doctor first is essential.

Let’s work together to manage your vein health—your legs will thank you! ❤

🍀Very common vein disease is Spider vein (stage 1) and they typically cause more cosmetic problem than health problem, but in some case it cause

👉 Pain
👉 Swelling
👉 Throbbing
👉 Cramping
👉 Leg fatigue

Always listen to your body😊

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) can be beneficial for spider veins by improving overall circulation and supporting the lymphatic system, which plays a role in fluid drainage and reducing inflammation.

If you decide to go ahead with sclerotherapy?

MLD can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, and support faster healing post-procedure😊If you’re considering MLD after such procedures, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider to determine the appropriate timing and ensure it aligns with your recovery plan.

It's a reminder to listen to your body and take steps for better circulation and vascular health💙

Get to the ROOT of pain and you can live the life you love

- My mission - Aim for long lasting results. I'd like to restore you to good health eventually and you achieve your best outcome. So I creat a combined and individual treatments as every person is different. That's why I personalise each treatment to improve your personal musculoskeletal functions. My goal is to deal with the deeper issue of what is causing your pain, your specific problem and make you live the life you love.

- Stretching in Remedial/ Deep Tissue/ Sports massage sessions - ・To loosen your muscles and tendons, which in turn relieves muscle fatigue ・Helps us to find the origin of your pain and release tension to improve the flexibility of your muscles. ・I can identify any weakness or muscle imbalance as it’s important to be aware of your body and I'll help you with that.

- I also rely on dry needling, if necessary- Dry needling is not acupuncture. It treats musculoskeletal issues. Quick result, save your and my time which means it allows me more time to deal with your specific problem. You don't like needles? No worries. It's your choice!

My remedial massage is a combination of different Japanese methods and theories. I might have to work on other parts to fix your problem and less time on your problem area as all muscles and tendons are connected. For optimal results, you need to consider all those body parts that can be affected by any pain. For example, instead of just addressing the neck pain by massaging your neck, you can address the neighbouring regions. The great benefit is that you have everything under control with a lot more ease and the results. If you have any - LOW BACK/ HIP PAIN - SCIATICA - SCAR TISSUE - STRAINED NECK - MUSCLE TENSION and SPORTS INJURY AFTER HARD TRAINING and more.. See the full of testimonial from real people☆
