One of the most common complaints / questions we hear from clients is.. what can I eat for breakfast when I’m eating low carb?! Of course intermittent fasting is a great option, but if that's not for you, then we have a great high fat smoothie recipe you can try. In your blender, add:

2 x tbls frozen strawberries
2 x tbls frozen blueberries
200mL cold water
Then add full fat yoghurt, MCT oil, coconut oil, cocoa powder (small amount) and peanut butter - all to taste (we roughly do a dessert spoonful of each).

You can add your supplements to this mixture too.
Blend for 45 seconds or so until it's smooth.

Keen to get started on keto? Follow these 5 steps today:

1. Get rid of the carbs – go to your pantry and throw out your carbs. This includes pasta, rice, porridge, muesli, biscuits, crackers, chocolate, lollies, flour, grains.

2. Cut out the preservatives and additives – go back to your pantry, and throw out your jar sauces, pre packaged foods etc. And, do the same in your fridge.

3. Stop snacking - just eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, and nothing in between. This is a great way to start fasting with the aim of getting your body into ketosis.

4. Eat more veggies - there’s no limit on how many veggies you can eat on the keto diet. Eat them raw, baked, steamed and aim for 7-10 cups per day.
