Happy Monday!
This week looks to be a smidge windy and a smidge of rain. Client safety is so important to me that I would much prefer you stay home during extreme weather conditions than to come for a treatment putting yourself at risk.
We will play it by ear, if Cyclone Alfred decides to skip the SEQ course, appointments can remain. If it stays on track, appointments will be cancelled. Please be careful during this time. Prepare and have things ready. Have enough food and supplies to last incase of flash flooding in your area or power outages, but please be mindful of your fellow neighbours before you go and clear the shelves.
Stay Safe x
Tropical Cyclone Alfred, now a category 2 system, will continue moving southeastwards, further away from the Queensland coast, while temporarily weakening on Monday.
Alfred is then expected to slow down and turn westward from Tuesday and re-intensify, moving towards the southern Queensland coast.
Severe coastal hazards are likely for southern Queensland and northern New South Wales coasts.
A large and powerful to potentially damaging easterly swell as well as abnormally high tides are occurring about exposed southern Queensland beaches, and are forecast to extend to the northern New South Wales coast from Monday.
Heavy to locally intense rainfall is forecast for south-east Queensland and north-eastern New South Wales from Wednesday as Alfred approaches the coast. Flood Watches have been issued for these areas.
Residents and communities living on the Queensland coast and the northern New South Wales coast are encouraged to stay up to date with the latest tropical cyclone information and forecast tracks in the coming days.
