As International Nurses Day 2023 approaches, AHP wishes to extend our gratitude to the nursing community for their exceptional work and immense impact on global healthcare. We recognise the unwavering bravery and dedication of nurses who have been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic, providing compassionate care to those in need. This year’s theme, “Our Nurses. Our Future,” underscores the crucial role of nurses in addressing global health challenges and enhancing the wellbeing of all.

The nursing industry has faced significant challenges in the past three years, and we acknowledge the sacrifices, hard work, and dedication that nurses have exhibited in the face of unprecedented circumstances. Amidst the constantly evolving healthcare landscape, nurses have demonstrated remarkable resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to their patients’ health and welfare.

At AHP, we also recognise and appreciate the vital contributions of aged care nurses and continue to support them in their important work. Aged care nurses play a critical role in providing care and support to our aging population, and have shown remarkable resilience, compassion, and skill, particularly during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. Their unwavering commitment to serving our communities is invaluable, and we are grateful for their tireless efforts to ensure our elders receive the care and support they need.

On this occasion of International Nurses Day, we pledge to support our nurses and collaborate towards building a brighter future for the nursing profession. Our objective is to create a world where nurses have access to resources, receive the respect they deserve, and are duly recognised for their contributions. We also aim to learn from the lessons of the pandemic and use these insights to shape a better future for nursing.

We send our heartfelt appreciation to all nurses who work tirelessly every day to make our world a better and healthier place. We value and acknowledge your efforts and are immensely grateful for everything you do.

We are proud to share that our recent Endometriosis High Tea fundraiser was a great success, thanks to the unwavering support and leadership of our human resources division, who work tirelessly to establish a fantastic culture and robust support network within our organisation. Held across our Sydney and Gold Coast offices, this event was a testament to their commitment to building a supportive environment that places diversity and inclusion at the forefront of everything AHP do.

As March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, we wanted to do our part in raising awareness for this important cause. The event was aimed at supporting and raising awareness for Endometriosis Australia, an organisation that strives to increase education for patients, families, and health professionals, and invest in research programs to find improved diagnosis and treatment options. Our goal was to make a positive impact and contribute towards the betterment of those affected by endometriosis.

At AHP, we believe in supporting our colleagues and creating a positive and inclusive work environment. Events like the Endometriosis High Tea provide us with the opportunity to celebrate diversity, show support for our fellow team members, and make a meaningful contribution towards an important cause.

We remain committed to building a strong, supportive community that values and celebrates diversity, and we look forward to hosting more events in the future that promote inclusivity for all.
