🏃‍♂️ STRONGER. FASTER. LONGER. 🏊‍♀️
A New Level of Performance Awaits You!

📍 Train smarter at Prompt Exercise Physiology
Led by an Exercise & Sport Scientist – in collaboration with Physiotherapists and Accredited Exercise Physiologists – our programs are designed for cyclists, runners, swimmers, and soccer players aiming to improve performance and reduce injury risk.

💡 Why Combine Strength with Endurance?

Scientific evidence shows that adding strength training to your endurance routine enhances power, movement economy, fatigue resistance, and even VO₂max performance:

✅ Improved Cycling & Running Economy
Maximal strength training improves efficiency and reduces oxygen cost at submaximal intensities (Sunde et al., 2010).
✅ More Power with Less Fatigue
Heavy resistance training improves time-trial performance and sprint finish capabilities, even after long aerobic sessions (Rønnestad et al., 2010).
✅ Stronger = Faster
In soccer and running, strength boosts acceleration, agility, and resilience against late-game fatigue (Beattie et al., 2014; Spurrs et al., 2003).
✅ Reduced Injury Risk
Stronger muscles and tendons support joint integrity, helping to prevent overuse and impact injuries (Silva et al., 2015).

🕒 Program Options:

✔️ 30' / 45' / 60' Individualized Sessions
Whether you're in-season, off-season, or peaking for a race, we tailor sessions to optimize your performance and recovery.

✔️ Concurrent Training Planning
Avoid the "interference effect" by sequencing strength and cardio correctly ([Schumann & Rønnestad, 2019]).

✔️ Periodized Strength for Endurance
Our sessions follow proven phases (max strength, power, maintenance) for maximal transfer to your sport.

🧠 Backed by Science. Tailored to You.

Using principles from Moritz Schumann & Bent R. Rønnestad's research and over 50 peer-reviewed studies, our training approach helps:

🥇 Elite and amateur endurance athletes

🧠 Those managing chronic injuries or imbalances

⚽ Soccer players needing speed and durability

Unlock Your Athletic Potential. Science-Driven. Athlete-Focused.

“The combination of endurance and strength training produces greater improvements in endurance performance than either modality alone.”

Prompt Exercise Physiology are excited to have Maddison Law on board. Maddison will be available for appointments in Rockhampton and Yeppoon Clinics. Please call 49140299 for appointments.

Maddison Law is an accredited Exercise Physiologist based in Rockhampton. Following the completion of her studies in Brisbane, she made the move to Rockhampton to embark on her journey as an Exercise Physiologist. With over two years of experience in private practice coupled with five years of university studies, she has acquired a wealth of expertise in health management across diverse populations.

Early on in her career, she discovered her passion for turning seemingly unattainable aspirations into reality. Delving into patient and clinician-centered goals to sculpt the framework of clinical interventions is her key to pursue optimal patient outcomes.

Her areas of interest encompass interventions for individuals with neurological diagnoses, facilitating post-partum return to exercise, and harnessing clinical Pilates to attain goal-oriented objectives.

Growing up in Rockhampton Cat graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001. Not long afterwards, she found her way to Darwin where she spent 10 years working with the ADF.

During this time, Cat identified a need for Women’s Health Physiotherapy, completing her Graduate Certificate in Continence and Women’s Health from Curtin University of Technology in 2009. Following this, she commenced her Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy, moving to Canberra in 2012 to complete her clinical training with the Australian Rugby Academy and the ACT Brumbies.

Cat worked in private practice with a focus on sports and musculoskeletal injuries, including time with the ACT Academy of Sports until 2018. She has worked with athletes from amateur level up to Olympic and Commonwealth Games in sports including gridiron, field hockey, boxing, rowing, basketball, show jumping, barrel racing, swimming, and of course rugby.

Following her involvement with Rugby 7’s at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Cat decided to look further afield.
Until recently Cat has been working in the UK, where she worked with the Oxford University Hospitals Women’s and Men’s Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. She also took on the role of Lead Physiotherapist at Wi******er Rugby Football Club holding the role for 4 seasons.

After being “locked out” during the pandemic, Cat has now returned home to warmer pastures. Her areas of clinical interest are widespread including:
Ø Sports and Exercise related injuries
Ø Orthopaedics
Ø Obstetrics and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions
Ø Chronic lumbar and pelvic pain
Ø Pelvic nerve dysfunction in both males and females
Ø Promotion of athletic performance and injury prevention in females at all levels of sports involvement
She incorporates manual therapy, exercise prescription, as well as dry needling and western medical acupuncture into her management, as well as hydrotherapy and clinical yoga. Where indicated, she has a strong belief in treating the whole body, not just the local symptoms.
Cat believes in a strong patient focus, involving them in the process and empowering them to take control of their recovery.
