Flourishing Wellness

Flourishing Wellness I help leaders prevent burnout, build resilience & forge thriving teams - wellbeing fuels success!! It lacks time for input from the key stakeholder - you.

I am passionate to inspire and empower people to create their healthiest life. I help my clients reclaim their time and energy so they can do what gives them joy in the world with the ones who matter most to them. With over 25 years as a registered nurse, coupled with my skills as a health and wellness coach, I have a great ability to connect with people. Through a positive approach together we discover what matters to you, envisioning what's possible now and in the future as you create new habits towards your goals. I've seen the limitations of the prescriptive approach in health care. What feels possible for you? What are your strengths and supports? What might hold you back? I help my clients regain their confidence to make lasting change and feel their best. If you're curious - contact me to arrange a free 15 minute discovery call.

Most women I work with don’t feel overwhelmed because they’re doing something wrong.

They feel this way because they’re:

• Thinking ahead for everyone
• Holding responsibilities that aren’t visible
• Constantly switching between roles without pause

Work.
Family.
Ageing parents.
Emotional labour.

That mental load doesn’t clock off.

And here’s the part that matters:

Struggling with this doesn’t mean you’re incapable.
It means you’re human - and carrying a lot.

I’ve opened registration for Overwhelmed to Organised, a gentle 5-day challenge focused on creating more mental space and energy.

There’s a free option if you’d simply like to explore the tools and see what helps.

This time of year can feel… mixed.

Kids heading back to school.
Routines settling again.
A sense of relief - and the quiet realisation that life is about to get busy.

If your mind already feels full, you’re not behind.
You’re responding to a lot.

That’s why I’m running Overwhelmed to Organised, a gentle 5-day reset starting Saturday 14 February.

Each day includes:
• A short 5-minute video
• A simple worksheet
• Around 15 minutes total

You can participate quietly.

You can miss a day and pick it up again.

This is about creating space, not pressure.

If it feels supportive for where you’re at right now, I'd love for you to join us.

What if the moments that change us aren’t the big ones at all?

This trip reminded me to notice the small gifts again.

Sun on my face after a grey morning.

Dry, warm socks after a day of cold, wet feet.

The smell of damp leaves and woodsmoke.

A stranger’s kindness when plans suddenly changed.

None of these moments would make a “perfect” post, yet they are the ones that stayed with me.

As we ease into a new year I am reminding myself that I do not need to reinvent everything.

I just need to keep noticing, keep choosing, keep taking one small step that honours my wellbeing.

What is one small gift you are noticing in your world today?

Seven weeks offline.

No posts. No stories. No scrolling.

What started as a five week social media detox while we travelled the UK turned into seven weeks when I came home unwell.

Old me would have pushed through and posted anyway. This time I chose to honour my health and trust that it was safe to pause.

Without the constant pull to document and share I noticed more.

The sting of ice cold air on my face in the Welsh highlands.
The warmth of new mittens and long socks after hiking through snow.
The smell of food at busy markets and the stories behind each stall holder.

I am most grateful for the time. Time to laugh, walk, get lost, find our way again and enjoy simple moments with my favourite co-adventurer of 30+ years.

This season reminded me that wellbeing is not about doing it perfectly. It is about checking in, making small tweaks and letting go of the pressure to be “on” all the time.

As we start a new year I am choosing slowness over hustle, quality over quantity and presence over perfection.

Have you ever taken a break from socials or from something else that was taking up a lot of space in your mind.

What did you notice when you stepped back?

A quieter kind of year-end reflection.

The past couple of months have been about slowing down, restoring my energy and reconnecting with what matters most - presence, clarity and relationships.

I’m grateful for the conversations, support and connection this year - with leaders, teams and the women I’m privileged to walk alongside.

As I move into the new year, my intention is simple:

🍃Steady rhythm.
🍃Sustainable performance.
🍃More space to switch off and reset.

I’ll share a few reflections soon from my time offline - what it taught me about attention, boundaries and recovery.

For now, I hope you’re finding a little room to rest and rejuvenate.

No captions.

Just presence.

Grateful for simple moments, shared laughter and the freedom to be fully offline.

Stillness isn’t silence - it’s strength.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is nothing at all.

Here’s to slowing down, breathing deeply and remembering that presence is power.

Taking a five week social media detox.

I’ve built my business helping others find balance, set boundaries and protect their energy…

But lately, I’ve realised it’s time to practise what I teach.
So while I’m overseas, I’m going fully offline.

No posts.
No stories.
No scrolling.

I want to be fully present with my favourite travel buddy of 30+ years - to slow down, explore and really see the world instead of viewing it through a screen.

Because wellbeing isn’t just something we talk about.

It’s something we live.

When I return, I’ll share what I’ve learned - personally, professionally and creatively - from logging off.

Until then, here’s to leading with intention, not algorithms.

Have you ever taken a social media break?

Calm minds in action today at the Local Buy Summit.

Grateful for the chance to open the Conference this morning.

One moment that stood out: watching people breathe, smile and realise how quickly attention can reset under pressure.

When we protect our attention, decisions get clearer and people feel better doing the work.

How do you help your team stay focused when things get busy?

The power of a pause.

Most people try to go faster when things get hard.

But clarity doesn’t come from speed - it comes from space.
Here’s the 3-step mental reset I practice daily

Pause. Name. Narrow.

Three steps to turn reaction into clarity.

Because the fastest way to improve performance
isn’t to do more —

it’s to slow down for 20 seconds
and decide what truly matters.

Try it today:

🍃Before your next meeting, message, or decision -
🍃Pause. Name. Narrow.
🍃Then notice what changes.

Tag someone who could use a 20-second pause.

Everyone says pressure creates diamonds.

But in leadership, that kind of pressure just creates burnout.
Cortisol kills clarity.

And calm?
That’s where peak performance actually happens.

Calm isn’t a soft skill anymore - it’s a strategy.

Your nervous system is your decision-making software.

If it’s overloaded, your clarity crashes.

Calm isn’t passive - it’s the new competitive edge.

We don’t rise to the level of our plans -
we fall to the level of our nervous system.

Leaders who can regulate before they react make better decisions, faster.

That’s why I built Calm Minds, Clear Choices - practical tools for sharper decisions and calmer teams.
