Flourishing Wellness

Flourishing Wellness I help leaders prevent burnout, build resilience & forge thriving teams - wellbeing fuels success!! It lacks time for input from the key stakeholder - you.

I am passionate to inspire and empower people to create their healthiest life. I help my clients reclaim their time and energy so they can do what gives them joy in the world with the ones who matter most to them. With over 25 years as a registered nurse, coupled with my skills as a health and wellness coach, I have a great ability to connect with people. Through a positive approach together we discover what matters to you, envisioning what's possible now and in the future as you create new habits towards your goals. I've seen the limitations of the prescriptive approach in health care. What feels possible for you? What are your strengths and supports? What might hold you back? I help my clients regain their confidence to make lasting change and feel their best. If you're curious - contact me to arrange a free 15 minute discovery call.

This week someone I care about went after a dream opportunity.

The kind that asks you to step right outside your comfort zone and give it everything you’ve got.

They came incredibly close.

The dream role didn’t quite land, although there are still some wonderful opportunities ahead of them.

What stood out to me most was their courage.

For the whole process they focused on the opportunity in front of them and gave it everything.

Going after something that matters takes real bravery.

And sometimes the moments afterwards ask something of us too.

Disappointment needs time. We can’t rush through those feelings.

Often they are showing us what matters most and helping us see the next step.

Watching someone dare greatly this week reminded me how powerful courage can be.

Have you ever come close to something you deeply wanted?

Lately I’ve been sitting with something that feels bigger than stress or burnout.

It’s attention.

I don’t think we talk about this enough.
Attention has become monetised.

Everything is competing for it.

And most of us were never taught how to protect it.
Through my time in nursing, I've seen what constant urgency and emotional saturation does to people. It certainly isn't weakness.

It's overload.

Now I see something similar in other workplaces - constant pings, shifting priorities, pressure to respond immediately.

And I worry about what that does to decision-making.
Because when attention fragments, clarity follows.

I’m beginning to shape my work around a simple idea:
If we want calm minds, clear choices and connected teams - we must first reclaim discernment.

Not everything that demands our attention deserves it.

So I’d love to know …

Do you feel more distracted than you did five years ago?

This week I’ve been thinking about mental space.

Not more motivation.
Not a better planner.
Just a little less… noise.
One of the simplest ways to get it is the 3-minute rule.

The 3-minute rule is based on the idea that closing small open loops creates more mental space for focus.
If something takes three minutes or less, do it now.

The point isn’t to be “more productive” but to close an open tab that’s quietly taking up brain space.

A quick email reply.
Putting the form where it belongs.
Booking the appointment.
Sending the message you’ve been thinking about all week.

Then pause.
Because the real practice is noticing what happens next.

Do you feel lighter?

Or does your brain immediately try to fill the space with three more tasks?

If it does, try this:
1. Pat yourself on the back. You noticed.

2. Breathe, pause.

3. Choose again. One small thing, or simply stop on purpose.

What’s one “open tab” you could close in three minutes today?

If a small part of you is thinking:

“I should be able to handle this myself…”

Please know - most women I work with think that too.

Not coping couldn't be further from the truth.
Because they’ve been coping for a long time.

And utilising support doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It allows you to work more wisely with your energy.

Overwhelmed to Organised begins soon.
It’s a 5-day reset designed to help you feel clearer and more steady in your days.

Some women join using the free option.
There’s also a VIP option for an added boost.
Both will bring a shift.

Registration closes tomorrow night - see the link in the comments

A full calendar isn’t always the problem.

For many women, it’s the constant thinking:
• Remembering
• Anticipating
• Planning
• Holding space

That’s what drains energy.

Which is why ‘more organisation’ alone rarely brings relief.

Real change starts when you:
• Decide what truly needs your attention
• Reduce mental clutter, not just tasks
• Work with your energy, rather than against it

This is exactly what we’ll explore inside Overwhelmed to Organised. It’s a short, supportive 5-day reset.

You can join in the way that suits you:
There’s a free option, and an optional supported experience.

If more mental space sounds appealing - simply follow the link in the comments.

What would having more space give you?

After 30 years in nursing and 5 years coaching women in workplaces and organisations, one pattern appears again and again:

Capable women believing they should be able to handle everything on their own.

They certainly don’t lack skills.
And over time they’ve learned to just keep going.

Yet it comes at a price - I call it ‘bandwidth’ - that precious mental and emotional space we all need.

I’ve seen this with working mums, business owners and corporate employees and women supporting both children and aging parents.

What actually helps isn’t pushing harder.
It’s learning how to manage energy and mental clutter, not just time.

That’s the foundation of Overwhelmed to Organised.

There’s a free way to join and an optional supported experience if that feels right.

You’re welcome either way. I'll drop the link below

Most women I work with don’t feel overwhelmed because they’re doing something wrong.

They feel this way because they’re:

• Thinking ahead for everyone
• Holding responsibilities that aren’t visible
• Constantly switching between roles without pause

Work.
Family.
Ageing parents.
Emotional labour.

That mental load doesn’t clock off.

And here’s the part that matters:

Struggling with this doesn’t mean you’re incapable.
It means you’re human - and carrying a lot.

I’ve opened registration for Overwhelmed to Organised, a gentle 5-day challenge focused on creating more mental space and energy.

There’s a free option if you’d simply like to explore the tools and see what helps.
The link’s in the comments if you’d like to take a look.

This time of year can feel… mixed.

Kids heading back to school.
Routines settling again.
A sense of relief - and the quiet realisation that life is about to get busy.

If your mind already feels full, you’re not behind.
You’re responding to a lot.

That’s why I’m running Overwhelmed to Organised, a gentle 5-day reset starting Saturday 14 February.

Each day includes:
• A short 5-minute video
• A simple worksheet
• Around 15 minutes total

You can participate quietly.

You can miss a day and pick it up again.

This is about creating space, not pressure.

If it feels supportive for where you’re at right now, I'd love for you to join us.

Stillness isn’t silence - it’s strength.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is nothing at all.

Here’s to slowing down, breathing deeply and remembering that presence is power.
