Our MultiLink Community Services Inc. Individual Support students stepped into real life scenarios today, working in small groups to build confidence and practical skills. From effect communication, to safe wheelchair use, car transfers and guided walking - every student had the opportunity to get involved and support one another, guided by their Trainer Karen who creates a supportive and engaging learning environment each lesson.

It's fantastic to see our students growing in both skill and confidence every day.

So proud of this amazing group of Cert III Individual Support students at Park Ridge State High School Health Hub.

Today's Friday lesson involved hands-on learning, with students practicing mealtime assistance as part of providing safe, individualized support. From setting up correctly, using appropriate techniques and communicating with care and respect - every step focused on delivering dignity and person-centred support.

With placement just around the corner, this group is showing they are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Today we had the Department of Trade, Employment and Training film crew on site at our Beenleigh Training Hub capturing some great moments from our Individual Support Skilling Queenslanders for Work program with MultiLink Community Services Inc. 🎥

It was fantastic to give them a behind-the-scenes insight to our training environment, our newest SQW students in action, and the hands-on learning that prepares people for meaningful careers in the health sector.

We’re so proud of our partnership with Country to Coast QLD in helping deliver the Certificate III in Individual Support (School-Based Traineeship) across the Central Queensland region.

This exciting initiative is creating real pathways for local students to gain hands-on experience while completing their studies — supporting both their future careers and our region’s growing aged care workforce.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce our dedicated trainees who are completing their traineeship at the Capricorn Adventist Retirement Village.

Through their traineeship, these students are:
✔ Gaining practical, industry-based skills
✔ Learning directly from experienced aged care professionals
✔ Building meaningful connections with residents
✔ Making a genuine difference in their community

Programs like this not only support workforce development in aged care but also empower young people to step confidently into compassionate and rewarding careers.
