No, I don’t bite!
Massage can be relaxing or a little painful — sometimes both! That discomfort is your body communicating with you, and different kinds of pain can mean different things. I’m happy to guide you through what your body is telling you during the session.

Leg massages can feel intense at times, but I can always adjust the pressure or use different techniques to suit you. You’ll feel so much lighter afterward — I promise!

Hi, Yen here (not Zen—easy mix-up!)

I’m your local remedial massage therapist based in Park Avenue, Rockhampton.

A little about me—
I first learned massage back in 2009 in Taiwan to help care for my father after he had a stroke. At the time, I wasn’t into exercise at all… but that changed in 2018. These days, you’ll find me lifting weights, doing functional training, or running with the local run club.

So yes, I know muscles—how they work, how they get sore, and what helps them recover and stay strong.

At Zen & Peace Remedial Massage, every treatment is tailored to you—your body, your health, your needs. I take the time to listen, and I always work with professionalism, respect, and care. No stress, no judgment—just a calm, supportive space for your healing.

This year is a special one—Zen & Peace turns 10!
As a small business, I like to keep everything easy but professional.
I’ve been in this industry since 2009, and I’ve called Rockhampton home since 2010. (Yes, I’ve lived through floods, cyclones, bushfires—and stuck it out through COVID too.)

There are times—maybe just 2 to 5% of the time—when I catch myself wondering, “Why am I doing this?”

But then I remember the many more who walk out my door smiling. The ones whose feet are ready to dance, muscles feel strong again, legs are ready to ride or run, backs no longer ache, headaches have lifted, and shoulders finally feel free of stress.

Some may leave with a few bruises from me—not for being naughty, but from cupping and Gua Sha!

That’s why I stay. That’s why I do what I do.
