Meeting People Where They’re At

At Live Free Support Services, we believe that true connection begins by meeting people right where they feel most comfortable and sometimes, that’s literally on the ground!

Yesterday, one of our amazing Support Workers, Saanich, joined one of our Free Style Theatre customers in their happy place: lying on the grass, gazing at the sky, and just being present in the moment to "hold space" when space was all that was needed.

It’s these simple, meaningful interactions that build trust, capacity, and allow creativity to flourish. Whether it’s on stage, behind the scenes, or lying on the lawn, every connection counts.

Here’s to embracing individuality and supporting people in ways that make them feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves.

Live Free Support Services continues to offer Smashing Goals, a transformative program designed to help people with disabilities identify and achieve their personal and professional goals.

We developed the Smashing Goals Program for people who want to make something of an interest, desire or talent, even if they don’t quite know what it is yet. The program will guide you through a process of imagining, planning and taking action to smash your goal. We understand that everyone’s path is different.

Goals may be gaining your driver's license, getting fit, making a friend, ordering independently at a restaurant, undertaking a course, learning a different skill or getting a job. Or you may have an interest you don’t know what to do with.
The program will be different to other community access services that support you, by being 100% focused on your goal and being time-bound. The structured program assists participants to learn planning and problem-solving schemas - these are adaptive skills that assist in everyday life, every day.

This outing isn't just about the fish — it’s a great way for Darren to stay active, build his gross motor skills, and enjoy his independence. That big smile says it all – what an achievement!

So great to have Freestyle Theatre back for semester two! Everyone was buzzing to see each other again and dive into rehearsals. Can’t wait for Romeo and Juliet: Multiverse Mayhem, it’s going to be wild!

Beach Day Bliss with Live Free Support Services

Sunshine, smiles, and sea breezes set the scene for a joyful beach trip hosted by Live Free Support Services. Customers came together to play games, fly colourful kites, and collect beautiful shells along the shore.

The highlight of the day was a delicious sausage sizzle, lovingly prepared by a customer and support worker, bringing everyone together over good food and great conversation.

It was a heartwarming day of connection, laughter, and community spirit.

The Live Free community has been treated to a dazzling night of drama, laughter, and creativity with the first Free Style Theatre Show.

Hotcakes is a deliciously offbeat tale of sass and suspense set in the quirky town of Killington. The mystery unfolded at the infamous café Sip Happens, where romance, chaos, and intrigue brewed in equal measure.

The Live Free community has been treated to a dazzling night of drama, laughter, and creativity with Hotcakes, the first Free Style Theatre show.
