Hi Gorgeous Women! Apologies for being MIA for most of this year. I'm not going to lie, it has been one hell of a year.....to say the very least!! There is a great deal that I need to say, but most importantly, I need you all to know that a massive change is coming.
As many of you might know, I have been dealing with chronic health issues and also supporting one of my children with their mental health.
This year, my presence and focus has been in the home, ensuring that my child has had adequate support, whilst we navigated the very difficult and very stretched mental health system. It took quite a while, but we finally have a great support system around us now, as we push through with anxiety and low moods. It has been devastating to witness my child, just come completely undone! My heart goes out to all of our teens living and experiencing our world as it is at present. Whilst as an adult, I can appreciate all of the beauty and blessings in the world, with all the exposure that our children have, with the world at their finger tips, it is sometimes difficult for them to see passed the ugliness.
For myself, I have been dealing with colitis. It is inflammation of the large bowel. On the outside, aside from looking permanently tired, you wouldn't know that I was unwell. However, I experience flare-ups whereby eating begins to hurt, I experience bad abdominal pain and I need to remain close to a loo. This also means that my body isn't absorbing nutrients very well, so I'm always fatigued. It can be quite disruptive and as you can imagine, all I can do during this time is rest and nurture myself.
When I am doing bodywork though, I feel quite good and I still do it with a lot of love. This has been my saving grace this year......being able to work with you all and nurture you is so healing for me.
This isn't a "please feel sorry for me" post. All of the above has brought about massive shifts, transformation, ever challenging change, growth, wisdom and even grief, as I say goodbye to old parts of myself, my life and my business.
I will be closing my doors to a bricks and mortar business the 28th December 2023. This terrifies me as I have never not had my own room/place to work out of!!! I also am going to consciously take all of January 2024 off from my business. I have not done this since .....well since I began my own business 6 years ago! I think it's time 😊.
In 2024, I will refocus my business on providing a few different services, offering in-home care. This will include things like bodywork, postpartum care, care for women who have just had surgery and don't have family around to help or support them in their recovery and so much more! So stay tuned to find out more.
I don't have a clear picture of what all of this will look like, but I know that I am here to offer love, support, guidance and care to women and their babies/children and to be of service and so much more.
If there are any of you that have Gift Vouchers floating around or have gifted one, I encourage you to use them before the end of December. I will still honour all Gift Vouchers that have not expired after this time, there will just be a price increase due to travel allowance. So this difference will need to be paid for any Gift Vouchers claimed after December 2023.
I know that this won't be for everyone. I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause any of you and I do understand if you need to move on.
I have loved my time working out of Margaret River Acupuncture. Sandee and her team are amazing! So it will be quite sad to have to leave my treatment room, but also very exciting to see what the future holds.
In the mean time, I will be walking my talk and nurturing myself, improving my health and creating amazing offerings to be of service to the women of our town and surrounding areas.
