Tomorrow, our NDIS Day Options program participants will be learning kitchen skills in a hands-on Cooking Class! The delicious task for the day is creating a beautiful Mango & Berry Trifle Dessert 🍰.

This activity is part of the regular series of Day Programs Uconnex Community Services provides to teach and help participants upskill. Developing skills like cooking offers valuable support for their journey toward independent living.

🌟 This Week's NDIS Day Programs Activity! 👩‍🍳

We are excited to share what's cooking next in our schedule: a fantastic class mastering the art of PÂTÉ-CHAUD (Vietnamese Meat Pastries)!

This hands-on session is designed to be fun, accessible, and a practical way to improve life skills for participants in our NDIS Day Programs. At Uconnex Community Services, we support everyone, including all people with disabilities, in their journey toward independent well-being through engaging, skill-building activities.

Uconnex Team Building: Striking Our Rhythm in Amazing Bali 2025! 🥁🌴

Do you know about the Penyu Program in Bali?

Our incredible corporate retreat kicked off Day 1 with challenges designed to refresh minds and work together on meaningful tasks, including a program dedicated to protecting the environment. (Penyu means turtle in Balinese, making it central to our theme!)

From collaborative Penyu Origami and the cultural art of Gebogan Creation, to Gate Estimation and a high-energy Rhythm Circle, the team fully embraced the Balinese spirit. We also took a restorative moment to help release newborn turtles—recharging our team so we can continue our passionate work!

🎂 Sweet Success!

More sweet, more fun! That was the motto of our latest cooking class, and what a blast it was! 🎉 It was wonderful to see everyone working together and the fantastic teamwork that went into creating our featured dessert.

The final result was nothing short of a masterpiece: a rich, decadent date cake pudding 🍮 served warm with ice cream 🍦 and a beautiful caramel drizzle. Just look at those smiles! 😊 Seeing the joy on our community's faces as they tucked into their dessert was the perfect end to the day.

We hope this Day Program offered a helpful and exciting way to learn a new dessert recipe that's perfect for a taste change this spring! 🌸
