Behind every great clinic is a team that genuinely cares 🤝

George has been part of Eastern Vitality for many years, and over that time, he’s become someone so many of our clients know, trust and love. His calm nature, dedication and genuine care for people are just a few of the reasons he’s such an important part of what we do here every day.

We each bring different strengths to the clinic, but we share the same goal, making sure every person who walks through our doors feels listened to, supported and cared for ✨

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our community continues to place in us 🧡

Always investing in learning, refining techniques, and deepening understanding.

During advanced Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture training, Chris witnessed a live demonstration involving a patient with Parkinson’s, where scalp acupuncture was used while walking and standing exercises were performed simultaneously.

Experiences like this are a powerful reminder of how detailed and intentional acupuncture can be, especially when combining traditional principles with modern neurological approaches.
It’s not just about placing needles, it’s about understanding the method, the purpose, and tailoring treatment to the individual. 🧡

Always investing in learning and refining my skills.

I recently attended training with Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture and loved diving deeper into this technique.

Understanding the intention behind each method is everything…

Chou Qi (reducing method) focuses on clearing and dispersing.

Jin Qi (tonification method) is about supporting and strengthening.

It’s not just about placing a needle, it’s about knowing where, how and why.

This is what elevates the treatment and tailors it to each individual.

Grateful to keep learning, growing, and bringing this back into clinic.🧡

If you want to be healthy, it’s important to understand this:

Your digestion is the foundation of your energy.
In Chinese Medicine, the “Spleen” system isn’t just the organ, it represents how your body transforms food into energy (Qi).

When this system is out of balance, it can show up as:

• Low energy
• Bloating or sluggish digestion
• Feeling heavy or tired after eating

These points along the inner leg (commonly known as Spleen 6) is one of the most widely used points in acupuncture to support digestion, circulation, and energy flow. Stimulating it through gentle pressure or massage may help:

• Support digestive function
• Improve energy levels
• Reduce that “heavy” feeling after meals
Try applying firm but comfortable pressure for 1–2 minutes, especially after eating.

⚠️ Avoid during pregnancy, as this point is known to stimulate uterine activity.

Small daily habits like this can make a noticeable difference over time.

If you’ve ever had pain that lingers, comes back, or just won’t shift no matter what you try, this is where treatment needs to change.

This is electroacupuncture.

Same acupuncture principles, but with a gentle electrical pulse added to create a stronger, more consistent stimulation.

Why?

Because stubborn pain often needs more than a light signal.

This helps:
• Target deeper muscle tension
• Improve circulation to the area
• Encourage your body’s natural pain-relieving response

It might look intense… but most people feel a controlled pulsing or tingling, not pain.
Because not all pain responds the same way… and your treatment shouldn’t either.

Let’s figure out what your pain actually needs 🧡

New to acupuncture?

You might notice the needle being gently moved or “jiggled” slightly once it’s placed. This isn’t random, it’s part of finding the precise acupuncture point and activating it correctly. Precision matters.
Acupuncture needles are extremely fine, and each point on the body is chosen carefully to support balance, circulation, and the body’s natural healing response.

Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference. ✨

Facial acupuncture supports both the skin and the stress response.

Very fine needles are placed in specific points on the face and body to increase circulation and stimulate natural collagen production.

At the same time, these points help regulate the nervous system, which can reduce facial tension, jaw tightness and the physical effects of stress.

Healthy skin isn’t just surface level.
It’s connected to how your body is functioning overall.

If you’d like to learn whether it’s suitable for you, we’re here to guide you.

Headaches don’t always start in the head.

They often begin with tension building at the base of the skull.

This point, GB20 (Feng Chi) is one of the most effective acupressure points we use for headache and migraine relief. When the muscles here tighten, they can restrict circulation and create that heavy, throbbing pressure feeling.
Apply firm pressure on both sides for 30–60 seconds while taking slow breaths.

You might feel tenderness, that’s normal.
That’s usually the tension releasing.

Save this for the next time a headache starts 🧡

This is PC7 (Da Ling) commonly used acupressure point in Chinese medicine, located on the inner wrist between the two tendons.

Using your thumb, apply gentle but firm pressure for 60–90 seconds, breathing slowly as you hold the point.

Repeat on the other wrist.

This point is often used to support relaxation, ease tension, and help the body settle especially during moments of stress or mental overload.

It’s a simple, grounding practice you can do anywhere, anytime, without any tools.

Small moments like this, done consistently, can help bring the body back into balance.

Try this the next time your body feels tense. 😌

That story is more common than people realise.

Sport injuries often heal on the surface, but the body adapts to keep you moving. Over time, that adaptation can mean certain areas work harder, hold more tension, or compensate without you noticing.
Years later, the injury isn’t painful anymore,
but the stiffness, tightness or recurring discomfort remains.

We don’t just treat where it hurts now.
We look at the full pattern the body has developed over time, and work to restore balance and movement through the whole system.

If this sounds familiar, you don’t have to keep putting up with it. Book a consultation and let’s assess your movement, your history and what your body actually needs. 🧡
