UPDATED TRADING HOURS
To our dear community,
We have made the difficult decision to update our opening hours. From September 4th we will be closing at 6pm on weekdays and will now be closed on Sundays and Public holidays.
This is something we really hoped to avoid, however due to the incoming changes with the “60-day dispensing policy” and the significant funding cuts the government have bundled with this we have been left with little choice.

We ultimately hope that the government will review the decision and finally consult with pharmacies to update the 60-day policy and provide both cheaper PBS medicines and a viable pharmacy network.

If you have any questions about these changes, how they affect you, why they’re so damaging to public access to front line pharmacy or even how you can help us maintain our services, please feel free to speak to us.

Rosanna Pharmacy will continue to operate as per usual

Earlier, this morning Acting Victorian Premiere James Merlino announced Victoria will move to circuit breaker restrictions from 11:59pm tonight. These settings will remain in place until 11:59pm on 3 June.

Stay at home unless:
- shopping for necessary goods and services (one person per household, once per day, a support person can accompany if required)
- caregiving or compassionate reasons
- authorised work or permitted education, or work interstate
- exercise (up to two hours, with one other person or members of your household)
- receive a vaccination

Intrastate travel: Travel limit of 5km from place of primary residence, except:
- to access necessary goods and services where those goods and services cannot be accessed closer than 5kms from home.
- to visit an intimate partner
- to visit a person in your “single bubble”
-allowed to travel for authorised work and permitted education
- work at an interstate location (where permitted by another state)
- care and compassionate reasons (specific exemptions apply)

Face coverings:
Must be carried at all times
Must be worn indoors and outdoors except if at home, or if an exemption applies

The use of Service Victoria QR code service is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for pharmacies but not mandatory

It is designed to empower women to implement lifestyle changes and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. You do not need to be registered with the NDSS to apply to join Baby Steps.

Baby Steps is part of the MyDESMOND online learning series - an adapted online version of the face-to-face DESMOND self-management workshop for people living with type 2 diabetes.

Participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) remains low 15 years after it was first introduced, according to data released today by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).⁠

The low level of participation among individuals aged 50-54 was particularly alarming, with only 1-in-3 (33.9%) returning a completed screening test. ⁠
⁠
Research shows a 72% spike in bowel cancer detection rates (in Australia) between the ages of 49 and 50, with 45% of cancers diagnosed at an advanced stage, which suggests undetected cancers in the late 40s population.⁠
