In just over a week I’ve had 5 late cancellations. Only some have been paid. So I’m sharing this once again as a reminder in case it’s missed it on my bookings page or the email confirmations, 24 hours must be given to make any changes to appointments. Whilst this is a tricky and uncomfortable area for me and many practitioners (because we work with love and compassion), it’s not sustainable to stay in practice and support a family with loss of 1/4 income. Doesn’t happen much but yes, this week I am a little over it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Now I will go and meditate 🧘

The First Forty Days is a guide focused on the first 40 days after childbirth, a period often called the “fourth trimester.” The book explains how this time is crucial for a mother’s physical recovery, emotional wellbeing, and bonding with her baby.

The book encourages new mothers to slow down and prioritise rest, nourishment, and support during the first forty days after birth. Inspired by the traditional Chinese postpartum practice “zuo yuezi,” it promotes staying home, receiving help from family or community, and eating warming, nutrient-dense foods to aid healing and milk production. The book also includes around 60 recipes for soups, meals, and teas, along with advice on organising support, caring for emotional health, and adjusting to the transition into motherhood. This past year was full and meaningful, defined by major milestones and a strong sense of flow

~2025 was a year~

• I became a mamma to an adult — my first baby turned 18 🤍
• Our household navigated HSC year as she graduated Year 12 and now steps into a gap year before university. I am incredibly proud of who she is and the journey she’s travelled — and what lies ahead.
• My younger baby completed Year 10 and is now moving into her final Years 11/12 — motivated, inspired, and amazing.
• I found my person. Pure love and respect. No question.
• I took my girls to Europe, creating memories filled with fun and magic.
• 20 years since leaving the corporate world and beginning my bodywork journey.
• 10 years since my marriage ended.
• The first year my girls have lived with me full-time after a decade of co-parenting.
• I had a small malignant cancer removed from my body — all is well. A powerful reminder to prioritise my health and wellbeing.
• I stepped into the next phase of life — perimenopause — which has gifted me clearer boundaries, a deeper understanding of my limits and self-worth, and the ability to let go of what is not mine.
• I returned to my deeply important daily Vedic Meditation practice, enhancing every aspect of my inner and outer awareness.
• And finally, my last year in my 40s… I’m excited to turn 50 and step into this next decade with love, good health, and curiosity for what’s to come.
