Sharp pain under your heel when you get out of bed, or after sitting for a while, is often a sign your feet are crying for help—not just “getting old.”
Common causes include:
🔴 Plantar fasciitis – overuse and tightness in the band along the bottom of your foot.
🔴 Heel fat pad atrophy – loss of the natural cushion in the heel, especially as we age.
🔴 Biomechanical issues – flat feet, high arches, or poor walking patterns that overload your heels.
If heel pain is stopping you from walking the dog, playing with the kids, or getting active at the gym, you don’t have to just “put up with it.”
