Signature Psychology and Consultancy Services provides holistic, person centred approaches to service provision with the aim of promoting wellness and facilitating positive change. The interventions will be provided within a culturally competent framework to acknowledge the resilience and wisdom that each individual’s story holds. Signature Psychology believes in embracing diversity of experience

and beliefs whilst integrating innovation with evidence based practices. Signature Psychology is principle driven and has a clear vision. The underpinning principles informing our framework are:

Introducing Signature Psychologists:
Hana Zaarour: Principal Psychologist
Hana has a background in various human services and brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of women’s health, child protection, disabilities and vocational rehabilitation. She also brings her specialist experience in the area of domestic violence to the practice. Her interventions are informed by evidence based practices and a strengths framework. She enjoys integrating the principles of resilience, mindfulness and emotional regulation. Hana has a strong passion for domestic violence advocacy and children and young person’s safety, welfare and wellbeing. Accepting referrals for: Women and children requiring therapeutic intervention
Walid Ahmad: Educational and Developmental Psychologist
Walid has a background in school and community settings, child and adolescent mental health and in private practice. He is well known for his specialisation in the assessment of children and young persons as well as his passion and advocacy for the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young persons. Accepting referrals for: Children and young persons’ requiring cognitive and behavioural assessments. Signature Psychology will also introduce groups for child emotional and social development as well as social skills groups based in the principles of dialectical behaviour therapy. There will also be a focus on intervention and recovery groups for women who have experienced domestic violence. We also provide consultation and training in the area of domestic violence and child protection and can tailor training packages to suit your needs.

We can practice mindfulness in a variety of different ways. In whichever way we observe the inner workings of ourselves - when we can sit with ourselves in curiosity rather than judgment, we can learn how to move forward in healing.

Are you tired of feeling overwhelmed and stressed out all the time? Are you sometimes stuck in the past or worrying about the future? Do you find yourself using distraction as a means of coping? Is it difficult to manage your emotions and thoughts?
Phoenix is a mindfulness skills training group to assist those who are struggling with their mental health and want to learn how to manage their emotions and thoughts more effectively. Through mindfulness techniques and exercises, you'll learn how to stay present in the moment, reduce anxiety and worry, and experience a sense of calm and inner peace.
You will learn skills on how to avoid feeling overwhelmed and stressed out. With regular practice, you'll develop the skills you need to feel more balanced and focused. Overall it will improve your emotional wellbeing and enhance your quality of life.
When: Every Friday from 10am to 12pm
Beginning 12 May - 9 June 2023 (5 weeks)
Location: Greenacre.
Cost: FREE! fully funded by the Primary Health Network You in Mind program.
Eligibility criteria:
Women only.
Reside, work or study in the South West Sydney area.
Have a lived experience of mental health.
Identify as Culturally or linguistically diverse.
Able to commit for five weeks.
