Happy Seniors Week 2025! This year’s theme is Connecting Generations Through Food and the team at Care Forward are inviting clients to submit a beloved family recipe, to be included in our cookbook, which will be released in early 2026!

We’d love to include a variety of recipes. Maybe it’s your famous Christmas trifle, a salad you always make come BBQ season, or a slice that went in the kid’s school lunches.
To share your recipe with us, please email info@careforward.com.au or drop into one of our offices and we will scan a copy.

We’ve been a bit quiet online lately, mostly because we’ve been working hard to make the transition to Support at Home straightforward for our Home Care Package participants. Today we received the news that the start of the Aged Care Act and the Support at Home program have been deferred until 1 November 2025.

Although we're excited to get started with Support at Home, this is good news. It means that we can continue to work to make this change the very best it can be, alongside our wonderful participants, staff and sector partners.

Support at Home is a once in a generation change to the way Aged Care is delivered in Australia, bringing great improvements to millions of Australians. As we continue to get ready, we’d like to say thank you to all our participants and staff for being with us so far, and that we’re looking forward to the next era of Support at Home in Tasmania.
