We’ve been a bit quiet online lately, mostly because we’ve been working hard to make the transition to Support at Home straightforward for our Home Care Package participants. Today we received the news that the start of the Aged Care Act and the Support at Home program have been deferred until 1 November 2025.

Although we're excited to get started with Support at Home, this is good news. It means that we can continue to work to make this change the very best it can be, alongside our wonderful participants, staff and sector partners.

Support at Home is a once in a generation change to the way Aged Care is delivered in Australia, bringing great improvements to millions of Australians. As we continue to get ready, we’d like to say thank you to all our participants and staff for being with us so far, and that we’re looking forward to the next era of Support at Home in Tasmania.
