Influenza and COVID-19 are at moderate levels of activity, but going up. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is still high, but may have peaked. Now is a good time to chat with your vaccine provider about getting your recommended influenza (flu) and COVID-19 vaccinations.

The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over.

The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended every 12 months for people who are 65 and over, and every 6 months for people 75 and over. It is recommended more often for people at higher risk of severe COVID-19 illness.

Talk to your GP, pharmacist or Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) about getting the vaccines that are right for you.
RSV can cause serious illness in young babies, but immunisation helps protect them from severe RSV and hospitalisation. Pregnant women are recommended to receive the RSV vaccine (Abrysvo®) to help protect their baby from birth up to 6 months of age.
