International Nurses Day – McGrath Foundation Commitment
Yesterday I was proud to represent EcoAid at the McGrath Foundation International Nurses Day Celebration. The Celebration acknowledged the incredible work and contribution of all nurses, especially our McGrath Breast Care Nurses, who play a vital role within the community and the health care system. This International Nurses Day was a special one for the McGrath Foundation, as it made a public commitment to increase the current 185 McGrath Breast Care Nurses to 250 by 2025, whilst it works towards its goal of ensuring that no one misses out on care.

It marked International Nurses Day by unveiling a powerful mural at 240 Miller St, North Sydney by renowned street artist, Sarah McCloskey. The inspiring work depicts McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Joylene Fletcher and her 26-year-old patient Emily Quinlan. The mural also represents the more than 20,000 Australians diagnosed with breast cancer each year, the 185 McGrath Breast Care Nurses caring for them, and the 65 more McGrath Breast Care Nurses that are needed to reach the Foundation’s goal by 2025.

EcoAid is committed to helping the McGrath Foundation reach its goal of 250 breast care nurses by 2025. The EcoAid range of sustainable products includes more than 70 safe, affordable and eco-friendly alternatives for the most used hospital plastics. Plus, 1% of every sale of our sustainable kidney dishes is donated to the McGrath Foundation to help fund more Breast Care Nurses. Request a free sample at our website.

How you can help:
• Purchase more EcoAid kidney dishes
• Make a donation to the McGrath Foundation

With your help, no one misses out on care. Learn more about the mural and the McGrath Foundation’s commitment at https://www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au/about/what-we-do/250nurses/

For Earth Day 2022, we need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly) and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Hospitals, GP clinics, governments and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable 🙋

22 April 2022 is Earth Day so let’s reduce plastics in healthcare!
22 April 2022 is Earth Day so All TOGETHER now…Let’s reduce plastics in healthcare! This is the moment to change it all. Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods… together, we must Invest In Our Planet. Because a sustainable future is a prosperous future.

We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us – every nurse, every doctor, every healthcare professional. All in. Businesses, governments, and healthcare professionals — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet.

And while there is still time to solve the climate crisis, time to choose BOTH a prosperous and sustainable future, and time to restore nature and build a healthy planet for our children and their children, time is short.

The Earth Day 2022 Theme is Invest In Our Planet. What Will You Do?

Here are a few questions to get you started:
• Which single use plastics could you reduce consumption if in your hospital?
• Which single use plastics you would like to remove from your hospital?
• What sustainable products could you purchase to substitute for plastic products?

As you put more of these actions into practice, you’ll discover that they become habits and second nature. And they will bring you joy and satisfaction. After all you will not only be contributing to the solution of the serious planetary plastic problem, but you’ll be also contributing to planetary heath by saving lives and the planet.

Save Life and Envirnoment

As the pioneer of the biodegradable Medical Hollowware, we dedicate ourselves to a great mission that is to reduce plastic footprint and negative impacts on our environment. We hope that one day all the single-use & disposable medical plastic ware will be replaced by biodegradable & environmentally friendly material. It is a greener choice for our future generations.

Since 2006, with the support of many enthusiastic individuals and business who shared the same passion and dream as ours, we roll out the first generation of 100% biodegradable medical kidney dish made by the recycled paper, and at 2012, We roll out the 3rd generation of kidney dish made by the sugar cane waste. It looks better and feels better, moreover, it is puncture proof and waterproof.

Today, our products are sold nearly all over Australia, and more and more people and business joined us to fight against plastic waste in the medical industry. They inspire us to continue our pursuit to be more innovative and bring more eco-friendly products to the medical industry.
