✨ PATIENT WART CASE STUDY

This patient came to us after struggling with plantar warts for over 3 months. They'd tried multiple treatments without lasting results.

After discussing their options, we performed Faulknor's needling procedure to help trigger their immune system response.

📅 Timeline:
- Initial healing: 1 day
- Visible improvement: 2 weeks
- Full clearance: 11 weeks post-procedure

⚠️ Important reminders:
- Individual results vary
- Success depends on many factors including immune response
- This is one case study, not a guarantee
- Professional assessment is essential

Every patient's journey is unique. If you're dealing with persistent plantar warts, let's discuss whether this treatment might be suitable for you.

If your GP suspects changes in the blood supply to your legs or feet, they may refer you to a podiatrist for a vascular assessment. This assessment checks how well blood is reaching your lower limbs and helps guide the best care plan for you.

🦶 Healthy circulation = Healthy feet!

🚶‍♂️ Your Vascular System
💓 Arteries – carry oxygen-rich blood to your feet
💙 Veins – return blood back to your heart
💧 Lymph vessels – drain fluid & waste

🔎 How podiatrists check your circulation
👀 Nails, skin, colour changes
✋ Feeling your foot pulses
🎧 Doppler test – listening to blood flow
📊 ABPI – comparing blood pressure (ankle vs arm)
🦶 Toe pressure test

✅ Why it matters
Poor circulation can delay healing, increase infection risk, and affect your overall health.
Early detection = better outcomes.

Chronic foot wounds can have a big impact on your life, and the cost of wound care products can add up quickly. The good news? The Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme (CWCS) can help!

This Australian Government initiative covers the cost of wound consumable products - like bandages and dressings - for people with diabetes who have a chronic wound, and who are:

- 65 and over, or
- 50 and over for First Nations people

How it works:
1️⃣Book an appointment with one of our eligible podiatrists for a wound assessment.
2️⃣Our podiatrist will check your eligibility for the CWCS.
3️⃣Your podiatrist will select the most suitable wound care products for you and place the order through the online portal.
4️⃣Your wound care products are delivered straight to your home or to the clinic - at no cost!

Take the stress out of wound care and focus on healing💙

Sample testing the new novablast and nimbus footwear this morning. After some jogging on the treadmill here are some thoughts.

The novablast is still an great shoe for quick runs and has gotten even lighter. It feels very stable from midfoot to forefoot (great for forefoot or midfoot strikers). Would not recommend for heel strikers due to the softness and lack of structure in the heel of the shoe.

The nimbus feels plush yet stable. Great for walking, long runs and easy runs.

Here at Hills District Podiatry we keep up with the latest trends in footwear features and design to consider their therapeutic value so that you don't have to.

Here you can see, Andrew and Niti assessing the patient's subtalar joint axis which is very important to determine how the foot interacts with the ground when standing.

The subtalar joint is an imaginary line in the foot that tells us how likely the foot is to roll in and outwards.

If you have deviations in the line to the left or right, it would mean your foot operates like a flat foot or high arched foot.

Keep in mind this is one of the many different things we look at to see how we can help you stay on your feet.
