Welcome, Dr. Avin Kataria! Dr Kataria is one of our two newest registrars, and is a dedicated General Practitioner with a comprehensive background in Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, and Anaesthetics. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2018, followed by a Master of Medicine in 2022 and a Graduate Certificate in Child Health in 2024. Having worked in both metropolitan and rural hospitals, Dr. Avin brings expertise in preventative health, urgent care, and minor procedures to the practice.
Raised in Rowville and passionate about serving his local community, Dr. Avin is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and his adorable puppy.

Please join us in welcoming registrar, Dr Tony Long to the Rowville Health team!
Tony grew up in Melbourne, attended Melbourne High School, and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from Monash University in 2019.
Dr Tony brings extensive clinical and research experience, having worked across multiple health networks including Monash Health, Eastern Health, Albury-Wodonga Health, and Grampians Health before pursuing his passion of General Practice. Approachable and patient-centred, Dr Tony takes time to listen and is passionate about building strong patient-doctor relationships. Dr Tony enjoys all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health, as well as supporting young adults through key life transitions.
Outside of work, Dr Tony enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, walking his 12-year-old Maltese-poodle (Melon), and keeping active at the gym or on the badminton court.
Dr Tony offers consultations in English or Mandarin.

Dr Wafa Michaels is returning to Rowville Health on 1st September.

Dr Wafa Michaels was born in Egypt and moved to Australia with her family in 1988.
Wafa enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in Women's Health, Menopause, Eye Disease, &
Osteoporosis
Dr. Michaels enjoys traveling and meeting new people, and particularly values family time— especially with her two daughters and grandchildren.
Languages Spoken: Arabic and English
Dr Michaels is in the clinic Mondays and Thursdays. Wafa has bulk billing appointments available for pensioners and HCC holders on weekdavs between 12-3.

Welcome Dr Blair Julien to the Rowville Health team!

Blair graduated from Bond University in 2018 and has since gained diverse clinical experience across several reputable hospitals, including Princess Alexandra Hospital, The Alfred, and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. During this time, he developed particular expertise in the management of ear, hearing, and balance disorders.

Dr Julien has a strong interest in chronic disease management, men’s health, and sexual health. He is committed to providing patient-centered care and helping individuals manage their health with clarity and confidence.

Outside of medicine, Dr Julien is an avid snowboarder and enjoys exploring new cuisines and cooking great food.

Blair will be joining Rowville Health on Monday the 4th of August and will be in clinic Monday-Thursday and some weekends.
