Everyone’s talking about health.
But no one’s talking about the real reason people don’t take action.

It’s not a lack of care.
It’s not laziness.
It’s not even time.

It’s the constant second-guessing.
The decision fatigue.
The fear of doing it wrong.

Last week, I read a message from a woman in a senior leadership role, also a mum of four, who said:
“I want to feel like myself again but I’m unbelievably confused. There’s so much information out there… and I don’t know who to trust.”

That sentence stuck with me.

Because it captures exactly where so many high-performing people are right now.

Capable, driven, and exhausted from trying to figure it all out on their own.

Here’s the truth:
You don’t need more advice.
You need a way to filter it.
You need a system that removes the noise—and gives you clarity.

The best strategies don’t ask you to overhaul your life.
They build on what’s already working.
They focus on the big levers first.
They create momentum through simplicity, not complexity.

And most importantly they make it easier to be consistent.

That’s where real change starts.

June Recap 🤍

You were filled with winter walks by the harbour and in the gardens.

Millie and Mummy adventure days, and plenty of Rhyme Time.

Speaking engagements with the ADFSSO, a brilliant panel for HR leaders, and being part of a burnout challenge for property managers.

Saunas — not as many as I’d like, but I’ll take what I can get right now.

Family breakfasts, navigating solids, and a few hotel meetings (currently my favourite kind of catch-up).

Attempting the cot transition… let’s just say we’ve got a long way to go.

Struggling to stay consistent? It’s probably not a discipline problem — it’s a design problem.

We’ve been taught that change is all about grit.

Push harder
Stick to the plan
Power through

But that only gets you so far.

Because willpower? It fades.

Especially when life ramps up.

What actually works:
→ Designing your day to remove friction
→ Building habits that make the right choice the easy one
→ Creating systems that do the heavy lifting — so you don’t have to

This episode of Stay at the Top is for anyone who starts strong… but ends up back at square one.
It’s not about being more disciplined.

It’s about being more strategic.

Tune in to Season 2, Episode 5 for dive into this further

I’d love to hear from you!

With maternity leave just weeks away, I’d like to know: what content of mine do you enjoy the most?

Is it:
My podcast Stay at the Top
Instagram posts or stories
LinkedIn content
My weekly (or most weeks!) emails?

And what topics do you find most valuable?

To be honest and transparent I won’t be “batching” content for my podcast, LinkedIn, or other channels.

While it’s not my natural instinct to step back from consistency, it feels right to return only when there’s genuine capacity.

Right now, I’m embracing a sense of surrender over keeping up appearances.

Your response will help me prioritise where I start when I’m back and refine the content I share.

Please comment below, or if you’d prefer to DM and chat privately - i’d love to hear from you

Thank you!

The key to habits that stick? Customisation.

Your habits should be tailored to your life, goals, and—most importantly—your starting point, which is often overlooked.

A new year often brings a (wish) list of goals which look something like :
Exercise daily
Cut sugar
Lose 5 kg
Meditate daily
Create a budget and stick to it

But a wish list, doesn’t gurantee making changes that last

This starts by identifying where you are and what your right next step is.

Are you:

An overachiever?
An all-or-nothing type?
A ticking time bomb?

Your next step should be customised to fit where you’re starting from - not somebody elses starting line.
