The last 2 weeks have been amazing as Diane Lee presented 2 of her courses for physios from around Australia and overseas. Diane took us on a deep dive into the upper thorax shoulder girdle and cranium. Amazing, challenging and a fantastic opportunity for everyone who took the time to learn with Diane!

AMTA- teaching therapists the art of manual therapy

Dr Barb Hungerford has been running courses through AMTA for 24 years in Australia, Europe and South East Asia. The original 3 courses have focused on teaching therapists to combine their knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and diagnostic principles with manual assessment of the cervical, thoracic spine and cage, lumbar and pelvic regions to determine which manual therapy approach will best assist their patient towards recovery. The “Art of Manual Therapy” takes time to learn, but these courses are highly practical and ordered so that you will always have a framework for decision making in your practice

Creating the “Retraining Lumbo-pelvic Stability for Low back & Pelvic pain Patients” was a groundbreaking moment for Barb as she decided to show how she takes someone with severe & debilitating back pain to moving and living without pain via a combination of manual therapy, myofascial release techniques, exercise rehab and “brain games”. It is a fun and intense 1 day course that will change how you approach your clients and their treatment.

The “Myofascial Release Techniques” course run by Barb Hungerford & Liz Noad was created because our release techniques are unique, and so many therapists were asking on courses to have a more detailed course covering our approach

For more details about all these courses and to register onto a course this year please visit our website www.amta.com.au
