Saturday information stall to assist people with applying for a Aged Care Home Care Package is cancelled.

I would like to thank you for your support by understanding the cancellations.

It has been a full on week, hubby is home from hospital. I need to take this time stress less and be fresh again next week.

I will be having the information stall on Thursday 11 April and Sat 13 April in front of IGA at 9:30 - 12:30

Due to my husband being ill and taken to hospital I will have to cancel Thursday information stall in front of IGA. I will hopefully be able to do the Saturday at 9:30. - 12:30. I will confirm when I know more.

The fees vary being on a Self Managed Package. From 13% - 18% or more.

Fully assisted home care packages can be up to 30%

Being on the island can be challenging having a Aged Care home care package.

RAS or ACAT ASSESSMENT APPOINTMENT

This is suggestion only!

When you have an ACAT assessment from the government to identify your needs and goals, please make the person aware that the Commonwealth Home Care Program (CHSP) does not work for the islands.
This program is the introductory program for services before going on a Home Care Package.

You still have to contribute to the fees (small amount) with some services.

You HAVE to go through a CHSP provider who do not have the capacity to take you on for some services.

This is an ongoing issue here on the islands. Please let the assessor Know this and suggest a level 1 HCP would be more beneficial to get help with services.

Even though there is a wait time for funding to be assigned for a level 1 is better than being approved for CHSP as domestic, social, and gardening services are non existence.

If you have are on CHSP please contact MY AGED CARE to be reassessed as your needs and goals may have changed.
You might need reassessment.
