I get asked alot about what makes someone a witch & what paths should be followed.
Times are forever changing & the most common in this period of time are Eclectic Witches or Eclectic Witchcraft.

In olden times the more Traditional witchcraft & Wicca ways were the most common especially with Covens & initiations.

Eclectic Witchcraft gives you more freedom to choose exactly what works for you.

For me I continue to incorporate both Old Traditions with my own spin on things.

A traditional rule of thumb for setting up an Altar is to include the Elements- mine are

Photos of loved ones- SPIRIT
Chalice of water- WATER
Candles- FIRE
Chalice of Salt- EARTH
Feather- AIR

I then have an Athame, Cauldron, more Candles including Gods & Goddess representation, Crystals, Offerings, My Cards & other meaningful items

Don't overcomplicate it, add the basics then have fun with it.

Your altars can be anything & any design you would like.

Remember there is no right or wrong way, simply your way🔮

Did you know..
You can cleanse your space with almost anything!

Yes it's true that Sage, Rosemary and botanical bundles are the most common, but aslong as you have a strong intention & a brief knowledge of what you're using & how to use it, or what you're doing & how to do it- you can virtually cleanse your space with anything.

Remember to open the windows so unwanted energy can escape!

Some examples I personally use when I don't want to do a whole Cleansing Ritual is

*Normal incense cones or sticks

* Sound Bowls & Hertz Music (you can find Hertz Cleansing music on YouTube!)

*Hand Clapping - Yes Clapping your hands can remove unwanted energy

*Washing down doors & windows

* Visualisations

Don't get caught up in all these shopping lists of what you need to buy etc
While having Ritual tools & Supplies are there to help aid you in your Workings- they are not essential
