✅ Maitland Medicare Urgent Care Clinic 🥳

Urgent care is when you need medical attention for an illness or injury that can be managed without a trip to the emergency department, but cannot wait for a regular appointment with a general practitioner (GP).

Medicare UCCs provide acute episodic care and treatment that does not require a hospital admission. This may include:
- minor infections
- minor fractures, sprains, sports injuries and neck and back pain
- urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- minor cuts
- insect bites and rashes
- minor eye and ear problems
- respiratory illness
- gastroenteritis
- mild burns.

Please take your Medicare card or number with you.

A registered nurse will take your call. They’llask about your symptoms and guide you to the right care, whether that’s looking after yourself at home or getting help from a GP, Medicare Urgent Care Clinic or emergency department in your area.

Anyone can call 1800MEDICARE from anywhere in Australia for free, no Medicare card needed.

Along with the phone service, we’re also launching a new website and app.

We are once again collecting toys and gifts at the practice on behalf of Susan Roskell Toy and Gift Drive for children of the Hunter Valley whose families have meet with challenges or fallen on hard times.
Because every child deserves a Magical Christmas! 🎄

🎄Our toy donations are coming in and our donation box is beginning to fill for 2024 Susan Roskell Toy & Gift Drive. The Toy Drive supports children escaping domestic violence or whose family has fallen upon tough times to have the magical Christmas that every child deserves.
We are able to receive donations until the end of November 2024.
