Today we ventured to the top of the hill to partake in Indigo Shire Seniors Festival. Our knowledgeable speakers Malcolm Campbell and Rex Humphries took us through the history and workings of the Wine Bottle as the towns water supply and onto the icon it is today. We even tested the acoustics, singing “Daisy” at the end! 🤗

Our cooking program commenced this morning, led by CWA volunteer Briony, with assistance from Heather and Paige. Participants and supervisors worked together to prepare the Lemonade scones to perfection, sharing memories from the past during the session. Fresh from the oven, the scones were enjoyed by all during morning tea. All giving a thumbs up 👍
We would like to express our gratitude to our Catering Manager Kaz and the catering team for this joint venture.

The live performance "As the crow flies" by Geoffrey W Graham at Glenview yesterday was a resounding success. The audience was fully engaged by the mix of bush yarns, music, and comedy skits. Wendy was particularly enchanted by Banjo Paterson's poem "As long as your eyes are blue". It was a great morning for all. 😊

Today's excursion consisted of a scenic tour, skillfully led by Colin Fisher, to Cornishtown and Browns Plain. During the tour, we visited a farm to collect fresh eggs and participated in pet therapy. Furthermore, we gained insight into various crop varieties, including canola. In the afternoon, we gathered for our weekly carpet bowl competition, joined by family members and new competitors, who received instruction from experienced professionals.

Today's art and craft session incorporated a technique involving various textured leaves and flowers to produce individualized and unique print paintings. Well done to all of our artists 👍
