Did you know? Black pepper is NOT actually the best way to improve curcumin absorption!
The single biggest myth about curcumin is that it requires black pepper for the best absorption.

This specific piece of misinformation, is based on a 1998 study in which researchers tried to overcome curcumin’s notoriously low absorption rate.
They found that yes, black pepper did improve blood levels of curcumin compared to when administered without curcumin... HOWEVER, blood levels were STILL barely detectable!
Curcumin on it’s own has extremely low absorption, and when combined with black pepper, it STILL had extremely low absorption.
